Even though I didn't agree with "Flee the Darkness," the prequel to "By Dawn's Early Light," doctrinally, I still found it to be engaging reading with plenty of intensity and action. However, I did not find that to be the case with this second outing. Although there were a few tense moments and a little bit of good guy/bad guy battles, it just did not even come close to having the appeal that the first volume had. If Part One hadn't been as amazing as it was, I probably wouldn't even bother with the trilogy's finale; as it stands now, I'm on the fence.
