I managed to complete my entire January TBR and then some. But that doesn't mean I am going to get too cocky on my abilities. So I am still keeping my list manageable, and if I overshoot, that's just gravy. Finally going to finish the Heroes of Olympus series so I can move on the Magnus Chase or Apollo. And my copy of Nevernight is signed, so that's cool. I love collecting autographs.

For surviving the flu, my husband bought me this gorgeous Princess Skystar. Other than this, nothing much is happening. I am out of physical therapy and feeling very good about my hip and back. They said I had progressed in leaps and bounds. I was also ridiculously flexible in most respects, to the amusement of my therapist. I could bend ways they couldn't. It sort of became a competition. I will miss those people.

I thought the climax of the book would be... more climactic. I'm really struggling to remember anything about this book. Events from the last three keep getting mixed up in my head. That's not a great thing.

Overall, the new characters were my favorite part of the series. I really admire Riordan's commitment to writing diverse characters and response to fan criticisms of his work.
