Lion on the Job was a game changer for me. As a reader who is not a fan of paranormal novels, I went in feeling skeptical and exited more intrigued. If you brush aside the paranormal themes, Remy and Gen's story is universal. Lion on the Job is a story of tolerance. From the different creatures, to the interwoven romance and the edge of danger, Taiden tells a relatable story in a unique kind of way.

For Marco, heir to the lions' throne, seizing control of the Cave of Whispers from the bear clan is more than just a quest—it's fulfilling the legacy of his breed. But the latest crusade has left Marco gravely wounded in enemy territory and in the hands of Alicia, healer for the bears. An irresistibly sensuous adversary, Alicia presents a serious problem. She carries the scent of a mate. Drawn to this dominant master of his den, Alicia knows her allegiance has been compromised. His brooding sexuality is testing her defenses, but falling in love with Marco means falling in league with a rival shifter. And turning her back on the bears in a time of war is a lethal move.

This was a pretty decent book. It was a quick read. That said, I felt there was a bit of filler stuff in there that I skimmed through. I did like both characters. However, and yes I get that they’re mates, but I thought it was a bit quick for the “L” word to be dropped. Still, I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was an amusing light-hearted and humors read. When an Alpha Purrs is book one in A Lion’s Pride series by Eve Langlais.

 

I loved how the story started off. We dive into some very fun banter between our hero and heroine. It’s comical from the first line and just keeps getting better. The verbal teasing/sparing our leads do, adds to the story and sexual tension. We get just the right amount of sexiness to keep things fascinating.

 

Kira is a hairdresser and is running from her past, but as most things go our past always seams to catch up with us. Arik is described beautifuly by the heroine. He’s arrogant, sexiest and pompous, but oh so fun to read about. He soon decides he wants more from this spunky hairdresser.

 

When an Alpha Purrs is an amusing read that’s uncomplicated and makes you giggle. I read it in one sitting and I’m looking forward to continue A Lion’s Pride series, especially after the set up left for the next couple.
