The Fall of the Dagger (The Forsaken Lands) - Glenda Larke

Well that's an interesting end to the series, scope to return to the world (which was satisfyingly complex for me) and I enjoyed how people had different motivations and purposes and things were not simple for the chosen ones.

Oh man, that was a series that caught me and kept me interested.  Magic and evil and a complex society that wasn't predictable, all good, my kind of read.

Complex world
The Lascar's Dagger: Book 1 of The Forsaken Lands - Glenda Larke

When a treasure is stolen from a distant land this starts a chain that makes Saker's life complicated and messy and nothing will ever be the same again for him. There's a complicated world here and many different ideas of reality.  I liked it and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Final part of the trilogy - excellent and well worth reading
The Fall of the Dagger (The Forsaken Lands) - Glenda Larke

This third part of the trilogy does everything that it should: it brings the whole convoluted plot to a conclusion and brings all the main characters together in a variety of ways. Saker Rampion, Sorrel Redwing and Ardhi all work together to rid the lands of Fox's presence and influence. Other characters all have their part to play: Perie, Gerelda, Mathilda, Ryce and many others.

This is a worthy end to the story and highly recommended: I prefer this trilogy to the Stormlord one and all fantasy fans will enjoy it.

Second part of interesting fantasy trilogy - original and engaging
The Dagger's Path (The Forsaken Lands) - Glenda Larke

Interesting second part of this trilogy. It merely continues the story from the first volume, adding a few new characters but mainly dealing with Saker, Sorrel and Ardhi travelling to Ardhi's island to return the feathers. The plot thickens and revelations are made which are surprising and enlightening.

Enjoyable and engaging, this is worth a read but only if you read the first volume (The Lascar's Dagger) otherwise it will not make sense.
