Look For Me
Look For Me - Traci Hohenstein As a stand alone short story/novella, I found this to be a bit formulaic. As such, I would not look for more stories by this author thus a three star rating.

However, evidently this novella is a prequel for a Rachel Scott series. Once I found this out, I started thinking. The novella was well written even though there was little to the plot. I think there is a potential for a great series given the characters and potential plot lines. So, I give the potential story lines 4 stars. Yeah, kinda weird but I thought that the novella needed a bit more attention since there is a series coming out of it. I will read a couple and see if I still feel that way.

"Asylum Harbor" by Traci Hohenstein
Asylum Harbor (A Rachel Scott Adventure) - Traci Hohenstein

I have to say it - Rachel Scott is like poor man's Eve Duncan. Throughout the book I found similarities - both lost a daughter, they are both trying to solve the case and they help other people find their loved ones. It's not a bad way to build a story and I liked it quite a bit but there were things that seemed off. For instance, Rachel has a whole team to find missing people but in this story we don't see them working. And a very weird part - Rachel finds a witness, asks her some questions and let's her go. In every cop series the investigators point out how crucial it is to find the person as soon as possible, but Rachel is ready to wait the whole day before she can talk to the witness again. I understand why the FBI agent was so mad at her.

Asylum Harbor (Rachel Scott, #1) - Traci... Asylum Harbor (Rachel Scott, #1) - Traci Hohenstein Although I thought this book was good, I didn't think it had the *pop* that the author's first book, Burn Out, had. Still a good, easy and lite read though and I will continue to read books in this series as they come out.

Special Delivery (Hollywood Hills, #1) -... Special Delivery (Hollywood Hills, #1) - Traci Hohenstein Offensive to OB/GYNs everywhere (probably even in Hollywood, though this may be an exception). Disgustingly inaccurate portrayal.

Burn Out (Rachel Scott, #2) - Traci Hohenstein I have to be honest...this book shocked the heck out of me. With several things going on prior to its' release date, I honestly thought the book was going to be a dud. IT WASN'T. The story is well written and the premise for the story is excellent. It is a short read...170 pages readable material so I am able to "pound it out" in a couple of hours. But an excellent first publication from a debut author...4.5 stars!
