Never wanted anything more
Shattered (Addicted Trilogy, #3) - S. Nelson

This story concludes the trilogy that surrounds Sara and Alek's story.  While you can read it by itself, as a standalone novel, it is more enjoyable if you read the whole series in order. This is the 3rd book in the Addicted Trilogy.

Alek is surprised and enraged as we begin this book.  Sara has been taken and he knows by whom.  He blames himself for not watching her close enough.  He believes if he never got involved with her, never started to see her in stead of hide in the shadows, she would have not been found by a sicko.

There is more than just one enemy coming for her an Alek in this latest installment.  Outside of fighting for their lives, they must decide if they can hold on to each other and make a commitment a reality.  Can Alek forgive himself long enough to see a future with Sara?

Sara does not hold Alek responsible for what happened.  She knows her past was hiding in the shadows and was bound to catch up with her at some time.  What she is most worried about now is whether the space she and Alek have growing between them can be removed.

This was a book full of surprises!  I love the story and the point that trust can earned.  More than once.  If you truly love someone a second chance seems worth it to try.  I found the characters honest and engaging.  I enjoyed every minute!  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Her heart was Shattered
Shattered (Addicted Trilogy, #2) - S. Nelson

Sara and Alek's story continues in the 2nd book in the Addicted Trilogy. This book can be read as a standalone, but for reader enjoyment I recommend starting with the 1st book in the series, Addicted. (If you missed the review for this title, CLICK HERE.)

This book is about the relationship or lack there of between Sara and Alek. Their love story is complicated by many things. Sara and Alek both have had such a painful past, that they are trying so hard to have a better future.

Sara is scared, and with good reason. She has found out that Alek lied to her for an extended period of time. Most people would not forgive this action. Sara is not most people.

Alek steps up and forces the truth on Sara with the help of her friends. When she finds out the real reasons behind the deception, she is pacified a bit. They work through as much as they can – but it is like starting fro the beginning. The trust must be earned all over again.

Together they are strong, but Alek has already made it clear he wants a future with her in it. It is only Sara's fears and worries that keeps him from steamrolling ahead and marrying her. He is cautious because he wants Sara to feel safe at all times.

This story is a bit of heat and torture all in the same book. Alek has his motivations, and Sara has hers. As the reader – I want them both to win. The only way for this to happen is if they can work it all out. I cannot wait for the 3rd book now – Wanted. Such an amazing book and series. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

What is the truth?
Addicted (Addicted Trilogy Book 1) - S. Nelson

Sara Hawthorne meets Alek Devera out at her shop and later at a club, that she later finds out he owns.  He seems to turn up at many places she is at.  Sara treats as a coincidence.  She figures why would he follow little old me around town?

Alek feels for Sara what he has never felt for anyone else.  Both of them having pain filled pasts, it is not easy to trust a stranger.  After the initial meet and later how he takes her home and keeps her safe, they gain a friendship of sorts.

Sara cannot help the attraction she feels and the tingling every time he is near.  When he seems to return the attraction and the sparks are a flyin' - they cannot seem to keep their hands off one another whenever they are in the same room.  He seems to always be holding something back, but not for the reasons she assumes.

They both want to try to have a relationship.  There are many factors that could bring it crashing down.  Denying their feelings is getting them nowhere so they give it a try.  Could be short lived when Sara finds out what he hides.

Very interesting book that has complex characters.  The story itself sucks you right in and is just the beginning.  The next installment in the Addicted Trilogy is Shattered - where I hope to learn all that was missing from this book.  I liked the flow and the friends that were fierce and loyal.  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
