The Last Summer (of You and Me)
The Last Summer (of You and Me) - Ann Brashares

A marshmallow book. Light and (mostly) fluffy. It's nothing groundbreaking, but the writing is good, and I enjoy coming back to it every so often (unlike the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series which seems to have completely lost its magic now that I'm no longer 15).

The Whole Thing Together - Ann Brashares

Ray and Sasha share a room in the family house in the Hamptons and share the same three older sisters Emma, Quinn, and Mattie but they have never met. Ray's mom was married to Sasha's dad and they had three daughters than they got divorced and then went on to remarry and have Ray and Sasha. This summer things are changing for them and their sisters. Their interests are starting to change, they don't care about their old shared books or shell collection in their shared room anymore. Mattie is falling in love with Matt and hopes he feels the same way about her. Emma is trying to figure out how to introduce her boyfriend James to the family. Quinn wants to figure out where she comes from and where she now belongs. After Ray and Sasha start corresponding through e-mail they start to winder if there can be anything romantic between them with so much family between th two of them. I got an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.com.

Forever In Blue
Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood - Ann Brashares

(The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood)

It has obviously been quite a while since I read these books and was wondering, is this the same pants from the first book? If so, I think the real mystery is how these four girls were all able to fit the same pants for four summers!

I don't know why I got a part four in a series (without part 2 and 3) but, as the story is almost the same in every book (or so I'm told) it doesn't really matter.

I've only read the first book and this one, and it already felt repetitive. I wouldn't recommend it.

The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Ann Brashares

I found some more very old reviews, and thought to post them all now, so that they are once and for all all together ;).

Some of my friends recommended this book to me, but I wasn't blown away by the premise of four girls sharing a pair of jeans.

The book was OK, but not really something I like to read. The story was a bit simple. It's a nice read between two other books, but nothing special

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Ann Brashares I really enjoyed this, much more than I expected. I've heard of this book for years, but I never took the time because I expected it to be too aimed at the young for my tastes. It is definitely a book about and for teens, but it speaks to all ages. It makes you think about things. All of the girls are in situations where decisions have consequences. They make mistakes and have to right them. They grow and learn that everyone else has faults too. I'll continue the series.
