Waiting for Clark
Waiting for Clark - Annabeth Albert

Dear Author,
My friends and I love cosplay, and this year we’re going all out for our city’s con. Yup, we’re going to go as members of the Justice League. I’m going as Batman, but I can’t figure out who’s going as a Superman. My friends are being a little cagey. What’s going on? How did I go from not knowing who Superman is to making out with the guy?

What a wonderful interpretation of this prompt!

Bryce and Clark meet again after years, and while Bryce is dead set on surpressing is old feelings and not getting close to Clark again, all "Superman" Clark wants is to get back to the easy connection they once shared.

Annabeth Albert hit the nail on the head - again - with this one for me. I loved the alternating POVs, but Bryce definitely was my favorite. And I loooved the shower scene! So sexy, but tender at the same time. This was a real gem. All the love from me!

What's Going On?
Batman/Superman, Vol. 1: Cross World - Greg Pak,Jae Lee,Brett Booth,Ben Oliver,Yildiray Cinar,Norm Rapmund,Paulo Siqueira,Netho Diaz

The artwork is a stunner in this graphic novel volume, however the story is rather incomprehensible. It's hard to track what's going on, seeing as how there are two different Batmans and Supermans (technically one is Superboy), and their behavior was different from what you expect from the characters. I think the origin story about Darkseid was pretty awesome. I'd definitely give that a higher rating than the rest of this volume. Overall, it's a three star read that could have been smashing with more effort for clarity.

Not the simplest of stories to follow, but truly epic, with fab artwork.

Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman: Trinity - Matt Wagner,Brad Meltzer I thought this captured each character's voice fairly accurately, though I could have done without the Batman-as-Peeping-Tom during a Diana bathing scene. No need for her to be naked at all - that scene and what Paradise means to Bruce could have been approached in different and less offensive way.

You have Superman in a nutshell:

Batman being Batman:

And Diana, having just left Themyscira, learning the ways of man while still being true to her own values:
