2.5 for the"yuck" factor (I have power balance/ethical issues with certain forbidden professional relationships, including this one, which was nearly if not a trifecta) and predictability. I saw the plot twist from like page 22. Surprisingly the"how" of the plot twist wasn't displeasing and redeemed it slightly. 
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done. Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant. Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.

Beautiful Mistake is book two in the Royal Pride series by Nancy Corrigan and can be read as a stand alone. I found myself pulled into a wonderful steamy and passionate romance.
Devin, our hero, is damaged. He struggles to keep his three cats under control. He was so sweet and determined to protect. It was fun and adorable seeing him wooing his mate, and I just feel in love with him.
Lena, our heroine, has had experience with shifters in the past and does not trust them. She was very strong and very loyal to those she cared about. My only issue was her stubbornness about the wrong things, but I liked her.
I must say this was an improvement from book one Unexpected Find. More is reviled about the shifters which clears some things up and helps me understand the world and characters better. The plot was fast paced and kept me interested. The ending left some things open and I’m interested to find out what happens to Lena’s sister. The romance was super steamy. The scenes in this book seat the sheets on fire. Lena and Devin were sweet together. My only issue is the communication between the couples in this series, they seem to misunderstand each other frequently. I really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book. Vader was hilarious and Xander got under Devin’s skin. I hope these characters get a book. I would love to learn and see more of these sexy royal wolf shifters.
