Review: Rock Chick Renegade
Rock Chick Renegade - Kristen Ashley

1st read - 23 to 25 July 2013
2nd read - 20 to 26 June 2014 (audio)
3rd read - 5 to 9 September 2016

“Jules, sweetheart, home isn’t a place. Home is anywhere, just as long as the people you love are there.”

I fell truly, madly in love with Vance in Rock Chick Redemption when he took care of Roxie. He is a man of few words is Vance but the ones he says make me swoon.

"But any man is defined by the woman who shares her bed with him.”

“That isn’t true.”

“It is, and it works the other way, too.”

Oh my God. Did he really think that?

“Which means, if someone like you, someone as unbelievably beautiful as you, as crazy and sweet as you, filled with attitude and courage with her heart in the right place, in a lot of right places even though her head normally isn’t… if someone like you shares her bed with me, then that says something about me.”

And he rides a Harley.

So that's Vance. And obviously Vance needs himself a head-crackin’ mamma jamma and he gets an awesome one in Jules. Jules is without a doubt one of my favourite Rock Chicks and her introduction is THE best Rock Chick introduction there is.

The audio for this is also great and I recommend it.

"You think alligators are cute?"

"They always look like they're smiling. I think alligators are misunderstood. They just want to laze in the sun and swim, but people keep bothering them, forcing them to wrestle and stuff. It's not nice."

Roxanne Giselle Logan is fucking awesome. That is all.

Hank is also pretty damn awesome as is Shamus as is the rest of the crew.

Review: Rock Chick Rescue
Rock Chick Rescue - Kristen Ashley

2nd read/listen - 15 June to 17 June 2014
3rd read - 2 August to 5 August 2016

So I LOVE Eddie. I mean it's impossible not to love Eddie and I love Jet as it's really, really impossible not to love Jet but this Rock Chick is probably one of my least favourite and the main reason is probably because of Jet's non-stop insecurities. Like I get her being unsure and stuff but the women had ALL the hot bunch making advances on her. I mean come on. You can't be that oblivious for that long!!

And the 'eeks' and 'I'm boring' and the 'doo-da'? I mean a fucking 'doo-da'.

Still this is entertaining and it has lots of Tex and introduces us to Daisy and Shirleen and they deserve their very own stars. I think these books get better and better as they go along.

The audio of this series is also fabulous and totally worth picking up.

Rock Chick - Kristen Ashley

1st read - 19 July to 20 July 2013
2nd read - 8 October to 12 October 2013
3rd read/listen - June 2014
4th read - 29 July to 2 August 2016

So this is the series that made me fall in love with a city before I got there and then I got there and fell more in love with it because of this series.

It's over the top, it's ridiculous, it's got Liam Nightingale, it's got a mad man who makes great coffee called Tex, it's got a fierce drag queen and it's got the employees and acquaintances of Nightingale Investigations. Entertaining to the max. Love it.

Have my reading dates all mixed up on this one. Original reading date is 19 July to 20 July 2013, with a second read from 8 October to 12 October 2013 apparently. I also listened to the whole series in June 2014 while chasing tornados around a Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming and spending a fabulous chunk of time checking out some places that are mentioned in the book around Denver.

This series wasn't originally my favourite but listening to them while being in Denver cemented them as an all time favourite.

Pure comfort reading!

Review: Motorcycle Man
Motorcycle Man - Kristen Ashley

2nd read - 18 February to 20 February 2014
3rd read - 7 July to 9 July 2016

"You entered the game, it's my game babe, you play it my way."

I just love this book and I absolutely adore Kane 'Tack' Allen. Even when he is being a douche I love him. I'm still planning on upping sticks and heading off to find him.

This was the start of my Chaos series reread. These men are the absolute shit. I'd most likely kill them if they were mine but I love reading about them!!

There is not a lot I can really say about this book. It's hard to review the ones you really love. Tack is crude and can be rude but my goodness he is hawt and sexy and just all kinds of awesome, yummy and alphalishious. Tyra is sweet and sassy and brave and I am terribly jealous of her.

The problem with this book?

I have to constantly remind myself that quitting my job, abandoning the boyfriend, friends and family. Upping sticks, moving to Denver, Colorado and getting a job in a MC garage/club is not a good idea and most likely will not lead to Kane 'Tack' Allen. Actually it just plain won't. Yup, just need to keep reminding myself of that.
