Nothing like John Julius Norwich's version of The Twelve Days of Christmas to get into the proper holiday spirit.

Music by Adam Saunders (RTE Concert Orchestra, dir. by Gavin Sutherland); narrated by Joanna Lumley and John Julius Norwich.

Enjoy!

I know I've posted this before, but it simply isn't New Year's Eve without it hereabouts ...

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! - Dr. Seuss,Walter Matthau

Book themes for Festivus: Read anything comedic; a parody, satire, etc. Books with hilariously dysfunctional families (must be funny dysfunctional, not tragic dysfunctional). Anything that makes you laugh (or hope it does).

On Christmas, can there possibly a better choice?

So I'm spending a workday looking through images for issues and improving them, and amidst the photoshop tedium a high pitched voice in my head said "hee-li-um."  Now,

I can't recall what class it was, but I was introduced to Strindberg & Helium videos over ten years ago at University.  I haven't watched them since, but after hearing that voice I had to listen to all four in a row (I listen to YouTube at work, though I can't watch it, which usually works well as I primarily listen to booktubers).

I'm traveling up to Seattle for a long weekend tomorrow (4 days, 2 small condos, 7 women who know each other too well), so I thought sharing "Strindberg & Helium at the Beach" would be most appropriate.

Enjoy :D
