Blood Fury: Black Dagger Legacy - J.R. Ward

I really loved this one. Both stories. Very different yet the same.
Even though the entire landscaping of these two very different love stories, were VERY predictable, I utterly enjoyed the organic simplicity of the way it all played out. It kept me in the moment, and interested with everything that was occurring.

Plus, I loved how there were not 89 other constant POV's here in this Legacy novel, like there always is as of late, with the BD-Brotherhood novels. Everything here was kept tight. Central to the core of the stories & plights of our main characters. It was refreshing for me to witness this again.

I have to say it's a curious joy I have, in now reading novels a year or two after they've been released.

I get to bask in all the awesomeness for the very first time, long after others have already experienced it; that first time high and will never get to experience again. :)

Blood Fury
Blood Fury: Black Dagger Legacy - J.R. Ward,Jim Frangione

Black Dagger Legacy, Book 3

I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series

The Characters:

Peyton:
Novo:
Ruhn:
Saxton:
Rhage, Paradise, Craeg, other members of The Brotherhood

The Story:

I’ve missed Ms Ward’s writing. I love the flow of the stories, the characters, the world she has built. Every time I take a trip to Caldwell I recall why I love it so much. Okay now that I’ve fangirled appropriately let’s move on to this story. I’m not sure if I wasn’t paying attention or what but Saxton and Ruhn were at total surprise for me. A surprise I love mind you but I didn’t see it coming. Ruhn story is so complex. He has done so much for his family. I’m glad he has Saxton to comfort him. I was so happy with Minnie’s decision in the end too. Now Novo and Peyton are the perfect smart ass couple. And I think Novo should have let Peyton punch Oscar… after the pictures of course. It was good to see Peyton grow up a bit. I think he and Novo have a fun future ahead of them.

Blood Vow: Black Dagger Legacy - J.R. Ward

Book two was so much better than book one, Blood Kiss. I loved the fact that it focused a lot on Rhage and Mary so it was very much a continuation of The Beast. Definitely, read The Beast before this book. Axe and Elise were also great. They were a strong set of characters, their plot line was strong and well developed, and the conflicts kept the story moving along great. Axe was the tough guy type with a heart of gold and he believed that Elise was the "spoiled little rich girl" type but as he got to know her he comes to realize that she is his perfect match to fill the void he has had since he lost his father in the raids.  Elise has been drawn to Axe since the moment she met him and even his rough and rude edges won't keep her away from him when he is hired to be her body guard. There isn't anything I didn't like about the story or characters. The passion was great, the emotional turmoil for Rhage and Mary with their daughter Bitty was hard to watch but a great story line, love them as a couple.

REVIEW

This is book two in this new spinoff series. I really enjoyed the back and forth between Axe and Elise. We get a huge, heartbreaking keep you on your seat story involving Mary, Rhage, and Bitty.

Axe has no issues with who he is, however, he knows he is not good enough for the likes of Elise or is he?

Of course, Lassiter makes a huge appearance in this book, and I sure hope one day he gets his own book I just love that crazy angel.

I can't wait to see who gets a story next I hope its Peyton.
This author has yet to write a book I didn't like. Love everything she writes.

“I borrowed the hard copy of this book from my local library, and I am choosing to write a review for it.”
