ARC REVIEW Born to be a Cowboy by R.C. Ryan

Born to Be a Cowboy (Montana Strong, #3)Montana Strong #3, We are back one last time with the Monroes. It can be read as a standalone but I enjoyed the series as a whole. Finn Monroe a small town lawyer part time cowboy wasn't alway lucky to have this family, after the death of both parents the brothers were split up in foster care where they each had a hard time making each of the boys foulmouthed troublemakers. When they ran away they lucked out and found Mac Monroe's ranch. Mac knew how they felt he gave them a home and taught them what it was like to have a loving home environment. It was also the influence of Zachariah that Finn grew up to be a lawyer.

When Jessica walks into Finns office he knows better than to believe what she says right off the back. Her Aunt, the woman who raised her, is missing. The last she heard from her she had ran off and got married and was going on her honeymoon. That isn't like her Aunt at all for as long as she been with her Aunt she's has been married to her ranch. Then when the  PI she hired, a former FBI agent died in an accident right after calling her to tell he he found something she knew her suspicions were right but nobody believed her. Finn wants to believe her something about her story rings true but it isn't until after he does some checking on his own that he fully believes her especially after the motel she was staying at and her rental car catch on fire after talking to Finn. Finn brings her home to the ranch at least there there will be someone with her at all times. But this goes deeper than just Jessica's aunt and Finn stirs up a whole lot of trouble.

I loved the relationship between Fin and Jessica. Finn has a strong work ethic and initially didn't want to get involved with a client but something about Jessica wants him to bend his own rules for once. Jessica feels guilty over what happened to her aunt thinking it never would have happened if she had still been living on the ranch, and now she's willing to risk her own happiness to make sure her aunt is never vulnerable again. Overall, it was a great read. I love R.C. Ryan's attention to detail and her descriptions for me, someone who has never been to Montana, it makes me want to visit all the same time feel like I'm already there while I read it. I love the familial relationship this whole family is wonderful.

Tease Me, Cowboy by Rachael Johns
Tease Me, Cowboy (Montana Born Rodeo Book 1) - Rachael Johns

I enjoyed this Western Romance although it was a little slow getting into the story. I volunteered to review this with my honest opinion. I've given it a 4.5* rating. Parts of this were fun while some were more serious. I can see why some of the folks did a little matchmaking in this community. Some people just need a little nudge sometimes. While a lot of this is centered around a rodeo, a lot of other interests were brought to light in this community. This was a second chance romance. This is not suitable for the under 18 readers.

Claim Me, Cowboy (2015 Montana Born Rodeo) - Charlene Sands

Release Date:  September 18, 2015

The Copper Mountain Rodeo has returned to Marietta and cowboy reputations aren't the only thing at stake…

When Summer Nichols inherited half of the Circle W Ranch, she didn't know her rodeo-riding, bad boy ex-boyfriend came with the deal. But sure enough, Tyler Warren, the man who broke her heart and left her in Marietta years ago, is back and living on the ranch again, claiming he wants no trouble. He's certainly not back to rekindle their decade ago romance.

Ty only wants what's rightfully his, and then he's gone, but not even family secrets and Summer's seemingly deep betrayal can keep him from remembering the good times he had with the preacher's sweet, beautiful daughter, once upon a time. Summer is more woman than he expected...

Will Ty seize his second chance, uncover the real truths of the past, and claim Summer's love again?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mistakes, misunderstandings and heartache are at the core of Claim Me, Cowboy by Charlene Sands. To err is human. Summer Nichols has bore the repercussions of bad decisions throughout her life. As she seems to be getting herself in order, she is brought face to face with her biggest regret. Ty is the one that got away. He may have walked away but not unscathed. His heart was left behind with Summer. Charlene Sands story of love lost, found and forgiven is a sweet read that is full of depth and steals the heart. I received an ARC of Claim Me Cowboy in exchange for an honest review.

Come Home For Christmas, Cowboy
Come Home for Christmas, Cowboy (Montana Born Christmas Book 5) - Megan Crane

Book Description:

"This Christmas season, Christina Grey Cooper has finally accepted that her marriage to her college sweetheart Dare is over.

So she packs up her things, leaves a note, and heads back home for Marietta, Montana in the hope that a Christmas with her family will help piece her head—if not her heart—back together.

Dare isn’t about to let the love of his life go, and who cares if that’s what he thought he wanted? He’ll do what it takes to win Christina back—even if that means suffering through Christmas with his in-laws, pretending to still be happily married for the sake of family harmony, and trying not to get caught up in all that holiday nonsense he’s never believed in…

But Christmas is magical, especially in Montana.

And if Dare has any hope of convincing Christina to give him one more chance, it’s going to be here…"

Come Home for Christmas, Cowboy By: Megan Crane

What I like about this novel:

This story was one of second chances. We find that after a year and a half Christina packs up after her thirtieth birthday and ten years of marriage and heads back to her home to her parents in Mariette Montana to spend the Christmas holiday. Christina believes her ten year of marriage is over. But unknowing to her Dare(her husband) will follow her and try to win her back during this Christmas holiday. Will there be magic for this couple during this Christmas time? Will this happen for this couple who have had so many highs and lows in their dysfunctional marriage. It seems like these two are opposites of each other. I liked how this author brings this all out for the reader showing how Christina and Dare's POV through confrontations they had with each other. What was so good was seeing them in this healing process at the end. I will say this isn't just a romance with a happy ending but one of a healing with forgiveness and much love. Will this Christmas miracle happen for this couple? This is were I will say you will have to pick up the good read to see for yourself how well this author brings it all out. I would recommend this novel to you as a good read.

Her Mistletoe Cowboy by Alissa Callen
Her Mistletoe Cowboy (Montana Born Christmas Book 3) - Alissa Callen

***ARC provided by publisher through NetGalley***

Another great Marietta story. Christmasy, cute, sweet, a little sad, with great main characters (Rhett has improved since Peyton's story), great supporting cast, nicely flowing narration, and just the right length.

I admit the reservations of both H/h about not entering into a relationship dragged on a tad too long, and the final setback was a bit too much, but I enjoyed this story.
