Reading progress update: I've read 533 out of 662 pages.
With Blood Upon the Sand - Bradley P. Beaulieu

I got up today with just over 260 pages of this to conquer, before I'm done. so, at the coffee shop this morning I made sure to get through about half of that, so that I can almost certainly finish what's left, when I pick the book up again later on. the middle was definitely the least exciting part of the book, but I was never bored--I just feel spoiled when this series is firing on all cylinders--and now, suddenly, things are really lively and energized again. reviews have suggested I'm headed for a cliffhanger ending, so we'll see what that means, as I start anticipating, impatiently, the release of Book Three.

well, like most of the reviews that heaped praise and high ratings on this book said: the story loses a bit of intensity, and focus, in the quieter middle portion. but overall, the book has been a winner, if not quite as stupendous as Book One. I've also been told, by reviews, that the final third of With Blood Upon The Sand is brilliant, and brings the excitement and intensity back to this epic Fantasy saga.  there is a small chance I can finish it tomorrow; we shall see.

wow, Emre's situation--amongst his closest allies and enemies--has become very complicated, very quickly! luckily, he is very clever when maneuvering through complexity. always a new idea, has our Emre. his allies love that.
