Awkward
Until You - Bridie Blake

Ellie is the most normal of all she knows.  College is going fine.  Life may pass her by.  What's next? Kiss a celebrity and don't tell a soul!

Jason is in a pinch and needs help.  Ellie is the closest solution.  Can a college student and a movie star convince everyone they are together?

Seriously this book has so much to it.  Laughter, heat, coming of age, heart, loyalty, and more.  I found the characters to be very real and seriously charming.  Together, they made a great story.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Being Bridie: The Diary of an Aspiring M... Being Bridie: The Diary of an Aspiring Mother - Casey O'Connor

Casey O’Connor’s diaristic novel about a woman’s pursuit of motherhood – and the troubles and struggles this joyful job brings with it – is an entertaining exploration of what it really means to be a parent. A story packed with twists and turns, narrated by Bridie Kelly’s distinctive and amusing voice, which will ride you through the full spectrum of emotions: from heart-breaking resignation to hopeful excitement, from unexpected tragedy to thrilling suspense.

The book also offers an interesting depiction of Ireland’s different socioeconomic realities, giving a glimpse of the workings of the foster care system and of social services (or ‘SS’, as Bridie likes to call them) procedures. This is an enthralling debut novel by a very promising author.

Reading Progress: Page 195/324 of Jewel of Kamara

Things finally start to get interesting- assassins, conspiracies, treason... too bad it's still kinda humdrum.  Only real problem so far is there's no sense of time or distance given. People travel from one place to another in-between paragraphs.

Love is in the air... or is it? The reality of politics begins to intrude upon the young couple's romance and Tempani is, in fact, revealed to be the Chosen One. Shocking, really. Her destiny comes with a price: stay at the palace or hit the road with her rebel friends who believe in her and learn her destiny. Since the prince gets a little drunk and gives her an ultimatum, guess what she decides?
