Cecelia Mecca is the author of the bestselling Border Series medieval romance.

A former English teacher, Cecelia combines two of her passions, romance novels and the middle ages, transporting readers to an admittedly romanticized time of knights and castles. Her first series, set along the Anglo-Scottish border in 13th century Northumbria, turned Cecelia from educator to full-time author. Readers love the Border Series for its focus on well-developed characters and their steamy relationships leading to satisfying happily ever afters.

Cecelia lives in Northeast, Pennsylvania with her husband and two young children where she can be found either planning a Disney trip, watching period dramas or convincing her children to watch Star Wars. She is firmly House Stark and Gryffindor.

My Review:
5 Star
The Rogue's Redemption by Cecelia Mecca is book 8 in the Border Series.  This is the story of Allie Bowman and Reid Kerr. I have read the previous books (and Loved them!) , we have been introduced to Allie and Reid in the previous books, but I feel  you can read this as a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Reid is very welled liked but hasn't done anything to prove that he is anymore than what the people think of him...a rogue and not one to depend on.  But when he meets Allie she sees him for more than the other do and even himself.  Sparks fly between the two but Allie's sister is very protective of her sister and she is one of Reid's biggest naysayer.  Allie just escape an arranged marriage now living with her sister who she loves and doesn't want to hurt her....but feelings for Reid are growing.
This has been such a great series and this was another page turner....could not put it down.  Loved it!

With The Protector’s Promise releasing today, I thought it a good time to discuss one of my favorite romance genres–the enemies to lovers romance. In book two of the Border Series, the two warring families, Clan Kerr and the Waryns, clash in epic fashion when Brockburg Manor is taken back by Bryce Waryn and Catrina Kerr is taken captive. And though many of the tensions from the Border Series books arise from divided loyalties and the turbulent nature of the 13th century Anglo-Scottish border, this book truly pitted two enemies against each other.

And now, because this is one of my favorite tropes, I’ve done it again.

Toss together an English knight, a Scottish lady and a magical stone which can control the fate of Scotland, and we have ourselves an old-fashioned enemies to lovers romance like none other. Sir William (aka “Court”) needs that stone to take the only remaining obstacle between he and the only thing he’s ever wanted, a title and land of his own. Unfortunately for him, Lady Marion needs that stone to protect her homeland; Scotland’s fate depends on it. With a slight touch of magic and one magical unchaperoned trip from the Isle of Skye in Scotland to the wilds of Northumbria, ‘The Protector’s Promise’ delivers what every enemies to lovers romance demands–tension, passion and a wee bit of adventure as well.

In case you’re considering creating your own enemies to lovers romance, here’s the recipe I used. Enjoy! And don’t forget to grab The Protector’s Promise on Amazon for a special .99 release week price. As always, it’s in Kindle Unlimited as well.

The Warrior's Queen by Cecelia Mecca.

Title: The Warrior's Queen
Series: Border #6
Author: Cecelia Mecca
Genre: Historical Romance
Release Date: May 17, 2018

Blurb

A stolen kiss. A forced marriage. Can a Scottish chief and English lady learn to love each other?

The Warrior
After two rejected proposals, Graeme de Sowlis has no interest in marriage. The Scottish clan chief would much rather preserve his heart and focus on promoting peace along the increasingly contentious border. His best-laid plans change when he accepts an invitation to a May Day celebration at Kenshire Castle in England. When he’s caught in a stolen kiss with the May Day Queen, his integrity requires that he marry her.

The Queen
Gillian Bowman is so eager to please her father, she’s agreed to marry the ancient Earl of Covington to save the family manor. Though she has every intention of doing just that, curiosity drives her into the arms of a handsome Scottish chief. When they’re caught and forced to marry, she’s horrified. The Earl of Covington has the ability to ruin her family, and her new husband seems reluctant to open up to her outside of the bedroom. Can love bloom from such humble beginnings?

The Warrior's Queen by Cecelia Mecca is book Six in the Border series.  This is the story of Graeme de Sowlis and Gillian Bowman.  I have read the previous books (and loved them!) but feel you can make this a standalone book.
Graeme has attempted to ask two women to marry him but each time it was turned down.  So he is now concentrating on getting peace between the England and the Scottish. When invited to the May Day celebration at Kenshire Castle in England he meets Gillian.
Gillian father is heavily in debt and plans to marry her to the very rich and elderly Earl of Covington.  When Gillian happens to see Graeme and a serving girl in the gardens taking their pleasure it made her curious since she has not even been kissed.
Later when they meet eye to eye it leads to a headed kiss between them but they are caught.  This leads Graeme to step forward to offer her marriage.
But will Graeme release his heart from the tight hold he has on it after being turned down before?
I am a really big fan of Ms. Mecca writing...her stories take you right into the book.
Loved it!

The Earl's Entanglement by Cecelia Mecca
The Earl's Entanglement The Earl's Entanglement by Cecelia Mecca
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Earl's Entanglement by Cecelia Mecca is book Five in the "Border" series. This is the story of Garrick Helmsley the Earl of Clave and Lady Emma Waryn. I have read (and Loved them) the other books in this series but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Garrick been in battle but now has returned home to find that he will have to fight his Uncle for the title and land that should be Garrick. Garrick is feeling pressure to marry a women that has strong family ties that can help him. Garrick is head to his mother in Scotland where on the way he stops by to see his friend Lady Sara who just had a very hard birth of her child. There Garrick meets Lady Sara's sister in law Emma. Garrick finds Emma very attractive and is thankful that he only has one night in her presents. But that isn't what happens he ends up taking Emma with him to help her get to see her friend Clara before she gives birth. Feelings are starting to grow and attraction is hard to fight, but Garrick is heading toward signing papers on a marriage to help him keep his Title and lades. Emma is in the dark about his possible up and coming marriage.
Wow! This was such a great exciting romantic book that I just could not put down!
Loved it!!
