THE HAMSTER THAT LIVES IN MY CLOSET by Annie Suther
The Hamster that Lives in My Closet (Waffles Chronicles) - Annie Suther Waffles, the hamster, lives in his owner's closet because her parents said she had to get rid of him. She imagines what he does all day in there. This is a cute story for your little one. I liked the little girl's imagination of what Waffles does all day. I wish this were longer. The illustrations are adorable.

Very short ADULT book
Confessing And Coming Out Of The Closet To My Boss - R.P. James

Confessing And Coming Out Of The Closet To My Boss by R.P. James is a very, very short read.  The book ends at the 45% mark in the Kindle, the first book was short on story, long on sex.  Since the first story was just meh, I didn't bother to read any of whatever else was stuffed in the back of this book.  This is a M/M adult story, not for everyone.

Great Story and Characters
The Skeleton in the Closet - Angie Fox

Today was the first day of the annual Cannonball In The Wall festival - Verity had almost run into a large Civil War replication cannon. This year would be better as a history channel documentary crew was there to film the celebration. Melody was Verity’ s sister and was to meet Verity near the library. During the Civil War Tenn was one of the most divided states in the nation with boys going off to fight on both sides. The Yankees had come to their town and a cannon is shot through the town square but the ball didn’t explode. But it did lodge deep in the wall of the Sugarland Library. The small victory gave their ancestors the extra spit and vinegar they needed to drive the invaders out and saved their town. The town had assembled to celebrate every year since. Verity was an artist and had started a graphic design business and hoped she would get some work after the stuff with her ex fiance Beau died down. Verity didn’t have any money to spare after the incident with Beau. Verity had barely avoided selling her after her ex-almost- mother- in- law had forced her to pay for the wedding she had orchestrated, the one that didn’t happen. But Verity had to empty her savings and sell most of her furniture . The town new her predicament but they didn’t know she was eating Ramen Noodles for most of hre meals nowadays.  But the help of frankie the ghost tied to her land who had been a gangster and ellis she had saved her home. Verity’s grandmother had left her this historic house she lived in. Ellis was Sugarland deputy sheriff. But if anyone was off limits to Verity it was Ellis as he was her ex’s brother. Ellis had a slight scar from when he had saved Verity’s life from a killer. Verity had also saved his life. Melody and Ellis were two of the very limited number if people who knew about her ghost-hunting skills and Verity intended to keep it that way, Verity wanted to forget about haunted houses, hidden passageways, and buried secrets. Ellis was funny and brave. Kind. Verity admired a man who wasn’t afraid to follow through with what he felt in his heart which Ellis had done to become a deputy sheriff. Than as Verity was looking for a seat to watch the reenactment Beau was in front of verity . Beau had cheated in Verity, lied to her, than tried to make her look the fool when he tried to force her to show up at their wedding that she had already broken the engagement to him. That was the day after he hit in her little sister. He went to the church and waited and made it look like verity stood him up at the altar. After she had already ended things between them. But Verity was not going to let Beau humiliate her again . Than a woman in the row above her said sit down the Yankees are really coming and Verity cringed bit sat down next to Beau. than Ellis came and pushed between them and she was never so happy to see him. When she went home she went  through a a violent chill in the house Verity had never felt anything like it than as she was going to get Lucy her pet skunk something to eat she ran into another cold spot - rawer than the first one. Verity saw nothing, npoe shadows, no wayward spirits. She called to frankie and he appeared. Verity was going to try to unground Frankie form her property. Melody called and asked if Veruity would help in the morning with the catering. Verity was looking at the display at the library when she noticed a shoe and she looks under the table and Darla Grace- a volunteer - was dead there with a rusty bayonet lodged in her back. Some people wanted to blame verity for darla’s death but Ellis had her back. Frankie can give Verity access to the ghost world in the library. Verity than uncovered some secrets and someone is willing to kill again to stop the secrets coming out.

I loved this book. I loved the pace as well as the plot. I advise you to read the previous book in this series for a smoother read. I loved the mystery and suspense. I chuckled at times while reading this book. I loved the slow developing relationship between Verity and Ellis. I loved how ellis always had Verity’s back. I loved Frankie he definity added to this book. Frankie was a great ghostly sidekick. I loved the characters and the twists and turns if this book and I highly recommend it.

Monster in the Closet by Karen Rose
Monster in the Closet (The Baltimore Series) - Karen Rose

A monster killed the mother of two little girls, Jazzie and Janie with Jazzie being witness to who the killer was. Unfortunately, the kid hasn't spoken since that terrible day...Until she meets equine therapist, Taylor Dawson who's come all the way from California to enter the internship at Healing Hearts with Horses at Daphne Montgomery-Carter's stables.

Taylor also has an ulterior motive for being where she is...She wants to know her real father, the man she'd been taught to fear and hate by her mother, Clay Maynard, since her mother had confessed that the fear and hate had been based on a lie on her death bed.

But father and daughter might not get a long reunion, since the killer is now gunning for Taylor in fear of what little Jazzie might have seen...And said.

First of all, the blurb is off. A lot.

Second of all, I wasn't that convinced by this book. Yes, the suspense was good, but unfortunately we knew who the killer was from the start, removing the aspect of anticipation and guessing. And the motive was rather flimsy.

And we got to revisit old friends, from J.D. to Clay, and even Deacon made an appearance (along with the character traits that made him Deacon and were so conspicuously missing in his own book). It was nice seeing them all again, revisit their dynamics, learn some news, and have a really good time in their company. Yet the new addition to the "family" didn't convince me.
Taylor Dawson, Clay's long-lost daughter, left me rather ambiguous. I didn't really like her, and I didn't really not like her. She was an entity, an additional character to the story, a catalyst for the suspense, and features heavily in more weepy scenes (which tugged at the heartstrings and caused some leakage mostly because of the others involved in the scenes), but that was pretty much it.

The fact she was proficient in hand-to-hand and was a good shot felt more like a deus ex machina moment than the result of the big lie her Californian family has been living. And her so-called budding romance between her and Ford (Daphne's son) was more than flimsy. It felt more like getting-back-on-the-horse for Ford and exploring-new-territory for Taylor.
At least they decided to take it slow and see how it goes (after only knowing each other a couple of days) instead of going down the completely unbelievable route of being in love for life.

Accessories to Die For: A Mystery (Irene's Closet) - Paula Paul

This was my first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it.

A nice little cozy mystery that is sent in one of my favorite places . . . Santa Fe. The scenes on the plaza brought back great memories for me of the five Mother's Days in a row that I spent there for business.

A tale of murder, mystery together with an insight into Pueblo customs. I sped right through this enjoyable read!

Thanks to Random House/Alibi and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
