Great for the Visual Cook
Cook Korean!: A Comic Book with Recipes - Robin Ha
Perfect for the visual chef who wants to learn basic Korean cooking
The animation is very well done with easy to follow recipes.
Sweet backstory to go along with the authors recipes, and her path to getting this book done.
I have a lot of experience with cooking Korean foods and still found some new ideas in here. All the recipes are good solid basic Korean cooking that will lead the reader down the path to delicious eating. I couldn't help but like the author her personality comes through in the illustrations. This book has been added to my gifting idea library.

Old Time Styled Quick Horror
Vincent Price: Night Terror #1 - Tsubasa Yozora,Matthew McLean

I found this on Hoopla and had to give it a go. The artwork was okay not great. it lacked that Vincent Price feeling i was looking forward to. It had the short quick mysteries with grave endings but it was missing something. I'll read the rest i think there are 4.

Not Bad Just Not Right
Fever Moon: The Fear Dorcha - Karen Marie Moning,Al Rio,David Lawrence,Cliff Richards

It is very hard to see a vision of a much loved series drawn through another's eyes, even the author. I just couldn't connect these characters faces with my version of Barrons, Mac, the Fae and others, I don't think any of us have seen the same two people in this series. When I talk to fellow Moning Manics we all have vasty different takes on them, how can you define a dream. It is so complex and fluid with no hard lines to keep our imagination boxed,
The art work is beautiful, the detailing is amazing as is the coloring. There is nothing to fault here. I would have loved it if I had not already cemented my version in my head.

Short Factual Fun With Caffeine
Coffee Gives Me Superpowers: An Illustrated Book about the Most Awesome Beverage on Earth - Ryoko Iwata

“Sip it slowly. This Book is highly caffeinated.”
A simple richly colored graphic book on the scene of coffee and more. Clear easy to rad graphs fill the pages, cute characters and true science.
Beer is good for coming up with ideas, coffee is good for get productive with those ideas, too much of either one is not good. Who would have expected this comparison ? How about when is the best time to drink coffee ? Yes, there is a science behind that and I went with it. It was right. Drinking coffee at the wrong time build up a tolerance to it. Small adjustments will keep me rushing all day.
There is fun, funny LOL fun. The worst drinkers is perfect, the author nailed it. I might be part stress junkie. If you get between me and my coffee there is a very good chance you are squirrel food. Additives, flavorings and sweetness, may kill you some day. LOL ! Oh the poem of love at the end. Hilarious.
Facts, facts facts, there are a lot of interesting facts to make you sound like the perfect coffee snob at any coffee house. How much America drinks, how much is traded, most expensive, most coffee houses, and more. Did you know coffee is actually a fruit ? Yes, it is, I’m counting it. Did you know caffeine is a pest control ? Luckily we aren’t pests. Wait till you read about the bees. Mistakes you might be making, covered. Why is coffee called a cup of joe ?

Full Of Graphic Flashy Rotten Bits Just The Way I Like It
The Walking Dead, Compendium 1 - Cliff Rathburn,Charlie Adlard,Tony Moore,Robert Kirkman

I am a fan of the show, a serious fan. I found myself looking for something to hold me over between show/seasons so I looked into the books. I'm not a big fan of many comics so I went for the novels on Woodbury and the Gov. Oh my, if you haven't read this get to them, fast. I finished those 6 books quickly so time to try the graphic. I should have known these aren't a best seller for nothing. I am now officially a Robert Kirkman fan.

This is what a zombie book should be, gross, bloody, gore plus and full of heart stoping moments. The illustrations are wonderfully detailed I spent time just looking at pages drawn with intricate parts, amazing. I can't tell you anything about the deaths the, back stabbing the love, and torture that would ruin it. These semi follow the TV series, there are differences that will surprise. Read it
