You Really Got Me (A Rock Star Romance) - Erika Kelly
I Want You to Want Me - Erika Kelly
Return to Me - Kelly Moran
The Best Kind of Trouble (Hqn) - Lauren Dane
Fan Art - Sarah Tregay
The Museum of Intangible Things - Wendy Wunder
Seeker - Arwen Elys Dayton
The Mime Order (The Bone Season) - Samantha Shannon
The Queen of the Tearling - Erika Johansen

This book haul made me realize that I bought a lot of books in the last especially weeks. I had some gift cards from my birthday to spend, discovered some books I just wanted to have right away and ordered a few books from my wish lists.

I think in the next weeks I will slow down a bit with buying new books, my TBR pile shelf is full and for some weeks I want to buy less books than I read. And yeah, right in this moment I'm going to ignore that just this morning I ordered four new books.

My pile of new print books is a mix of four contemporary adult romances (loving the genre right now), two contemporary YA books and three YA books with some action and special elements.

When It's Right: A Montana Men Novel - Jennifer Ryan
The Double Life of Incorporate Things - Leanna Renee Hieber
Let the Storm Break - Shannon Messenger
Everblaze (Keeper of the Lost Cities) by Messenger, Shannon (2014) Hardcover - Shannon Messenger
Magonia - Maria Dahvana Headley
Hero - Samantha Young

It's time for a little update on what I'm reading right now. The last three books on my latest reading pile are finally on my mini reading pile and I'm excited to read them and to then move on to a new reading pile.

I added a contemporary adult romance by Jennifer Ryan spontaneously to my reading pile, right now I can't get enough of contemporary love stories, I'm drawn to them like crazy, so adding the book was a must.

On my reading pile are
When it's right - Jennifer Ryan (nearly done and I love it)
The double life of incorporate things - Leanna Renee Hieber (half way through and it's good)
Let the storm break - Shannon Messenger (not started yet)
Everblaze - Shannon Messenger (not started yet)

I'm also listening to Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley (I'm half way through and love it so far, love the characters and world building), plus Hero by Samantha Young (I'm four hours in the story and so far I like it, it's sexy and entertaining).

I'm right now in a pretty good reading mood, I'm excited for the books on my reading pile, I'm excited about reading in general and isn't this the best feeling?

In the last days I also did the following bookish things:

I rearranged most of my books on my shelves and created some space in every book section, I used this activity to sort out about 20 books and I'm pretty happy with how everything looks.
And I went through all of my wish lists and deleted more than half the books on it. I only kept the books I'm really interested in and sorted out all of the ones that sounded a bit creepy, too serious and so on.

  • Happy Reading!

eBook Review: Lick by Kylie Scott

[Book 1 in The Stage Dive series]

This was my first Kylie Scott book and I’ve not really come across the Rocker romance before but I absolutely loved it.

The point of view from the heroine, Evelyn, was real and current.  When she woke with the hangover from hell in her hotel room in Vegas with a strange man, you begin to think along the predictable “happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” scenario.  But NO, that is not what you read here.

Evelyn has a total blackout of the night before and her husband, Yep she decided getting married to David was a good idea at the time.  OK, so far it's the usual Vegas story.

David is the lead guitarist of a major rock band and this puts them both in the spotlight from day 1.  So with the story, comes a blackout from the 'bride', paparazzi at every turn for Evelyn and her friends and family and for David and the band.

Dealing with the band, and figuring out what she wants, Evelyn and David spend time together in his world and in hers to figure it all out.

They both have their scars from past relationships and work to overcome them because it was basically love at first sight for David.  If only Evelyn could remember.

What made this story different for me and not so predictable was the way it was written by Ms Scott in a current and real way.  I believed the characters and their motivation in all the situations.

If you are into a Contemporary Romance that has an HEA but with a lot of realistic bumps along the way, you should check out Lick, and then I’m sure like me, you’ll be buying the rest of the Stage Dive series.

Look what I spy with my little eye . . .
The Harem on a shelf with Fifty Shades, Captivated by You, In His Keeping, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty...
Vroman's Bookstore
The Harem on a isle end shelf with Fifty Shades, Captivated by You, In His Keeping, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty...
The Harem - Thomas Sweeney

You can buy The Harem on Amazon.com, Barnesandnobles.com, SteamyRomanceBooks.com, Smashwords.com . . . but NOW . . . you can buy The Harem directly on a bookshelf!

Vroman’s Bookstore of Pasadena, California, is the first brick and mortar bookstore to offer The Harem directly to its customers. You can buy a paperback copy off the shelf. They’ve also added The Harem paperback and ebook editions on their website as well.

We are very grateful to Vroman’s for adding The Harem to their romance collection! Though Thomas Sweeney is a local, California author, Vroman’s immediately placed The Harem on an end of the isle shelf with world-renowned authors such as E. L. James, Sylvia Day, Maya Banks, Anne Rice, Sylvain Reynard and L. Marie Adeline.

Thanks so much Vroman’s for this wonderful opportunity! We were very excited when we found The Harem on the shelf, and even better, that one of the copies was sold before the end of the day, today, February, 18, 2015.

Vroman’s has been established in Pasadena California since 1895. Be sure to keep books alive, and more importantly, keep local bookstores alive!

Support local bookstores and purchase directly from Vroman's if you don't live in Pasadena, CA: http://www.vromansbookstore.com/book/9780986227202

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

Kindest Regards,

Thomas (author)
