Great Paranormal Read!
Crimson Debt - Evangeline Anderson

Addison is a non-glam human, and can't be glamoured by vampires. This makes her job working as an Auditor ideal as she keeps the vampires in her area in check - making sure they don't do any harm to humans.

But Addison - who initially wanted to be a Literature professor - has a powerful reason for choosing her job, her best friend, Taylor. Addison and Taylor were both two young college girls in pursuit of their dreams until one fateful night they catch a show of a powerful vampire, Celeste.

Celeste takes a liking a to Taylor and takes her against her will, turning her into a vampire. Now, both of the girls' lives have changed forever. Celeste is not a good master, and treats Taylor horribly.

Addison is besides herself and no matter how many citations she issues, she just cant save her best friend - after all the Auditors only help humans. She sets about trying to do her job, and ends up at Under the Fang, a local club run by an old vampire, Alec Corbin.

Corbin constantly hits on her, but Addison pays him no mind since it's illegal for vampires and humans to be in a relationship. But Corbin comes on to her relentlessly and maybe it's time Addison took one for the team. Addison calls in a favor to Corbin, she'll do whatever he wants in exchange for him helping out her friend, Taylor.

Corbin readily agrees, and makes Addison his consort as the Inquisitor in town, an older and much more powerful vampire than him has set his hooks on poor Taylor. In order to pull it off that Corbin and Addison are actually together, they have to fake being in a relationship, but is it really faking? Addison can't help her attraction for Corbin and Corbin can't help himself around Addison.

Danger and intrigue rolls around each corner as Addison tries to free her best friend of her predicament. Will Corbin's savviness prevail or will the inquisitor enslave everyone and everything Corbin has worked for in his existence?

And what about the Crimson Debt? Vampires can't control themselves when having sex and they are offered blood. The result is a human who looks like they've been through a blender, but the Crimson Debt is said to cure all ills, especially when it's done out of love. Will the Crimson Debt be Addison's saving grace or will it end up claiming her life?

----------------------

This is truly the book Charlaine Harris should have written. There were so many similarities to the Sookie Stackhouse series, without any of the annoying nuances those other characters carried  - and no seals having sex scenes. LOL

Addison is brave and has a good head on her shoulders, plus her snarkiness is awesome. Definitely loving this series!

Crimson Debt features:

erotica

oral sex

BDSM

torture

paranormal romance

vampires

magic

werewolf

intrigue

suspense

snarkiness

Crimson Debt - Evangeline Anderson Addison is one of few resistant to a vampires glamour, so through a series of events, she´s offered a job as a vampire auditor.
Her roommates unwanted turning to vampire is another reason to way she doesn´t care for them.
Alec is owner of a club, and can´t resist the lure of Addison, her prickly ways and no-bullsh*t approach. Too bad she doesn´t want anything to do with him, other than through her work.
Now Addison´s best friend and former roommate needs saving, and of course the only vampire Addison knows about strong enough to help, is Alec.
He´s not going to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.
A quick, great read with vamps, shifters and smutty fluff. And a heroine who doesn´t swoon at the sight of the nearest hot male.
Can´t wait to read the next one and see how Taylor fares with her were..

Crimson Debt - Evangeline Anderson ☆☆☆☆☆5 Steamy Stars☆☆☆☆☆

What an unexpected surprise!

This is the first novel in the Born to Darkness series, and the first book I've read by Evangeline Anderson. I read it in one sitting, and I absolutely loved it.

In a world much like our own, but vampires are out in the open. As in many other stories, they are able to glamor people. However, glamor and human-vampire relations are heavily regulated by the government. And the government hires glam-proof auditors to maintain order. Enter Addison. She's an auditor and our story begins with her inspecting a night club, owned by a very sexy vampire.

Corbin looks forward to every audit because he feels extremely attracted to Addison. However, it is illegal for humans and vampires to be together. Corbin's luck changes when Addison approaches him for a favor. Addison's friend, who happens to be a vampire, is being abused by her master. She'll do anything to rescue her.

Such a great story. Addison was hard-headed and annoying but I still was rooting for her. And Corbin...

They're a great couple, and their relationship had a nice long development. The book doesn't shy away from disturbing areas like abuse, discrimination & rape. But all wrapped up with a HEA and lots of sexy times.

Crimson Debt - Evangeline Anderson A thrilling start to a brand new series! The plot is nicely paced and I love how the author gives just enough info to keep me wanting more without actually giving everything away at the beginning. There is never a dull moment in this book and I was constantly surprised at the new twists and turns. I really liked the way she wrote these vampires. They are not the watered down versions that can sometimes be found in the younger genres, but neither are they the mindless killing machines of horror stories. Similarly to humans there are those that are bad. Many of them are cold, calculating, and only interested in doing what they want and when they want it. However, they are capable of feeling love and even if a little overbearing our vampire Alec Corbin is a good man who only wishes to love Addison if she will only let him. Addison is a kickass woman who isn’t interested in vampires or so she thinks. I love her spirit and how no matter how tough things get she doesn’t back down. She is also very caring and protective. Her best friend Taylor was turned into a vampire against her will and afterward even her own parents abandoned her, but not Addison. The heat level of this story was red hot, but not in your face. Like most of her stories the author made the romance between these two filled with tension that built with tantalizing scenes that finally reaches its climax near the end of the book. So there was no insta love the characters had a time to get to know one another and build trust instead of juts leaping in head first which I really liked. Addison’s best friend Taylor was an amazing woman as well. I really felt for her and knew she must be a strong woman to be able to withstand the horrors she’d been through. I really can’t wait for her story and hope she gets her happy ending as well! My favorite quote from the book was by Alec and was definitely swoon worthy!“I am standing on one side of the chasm, holding out my hand to you, yet you refuse to reach for me” - AlecThis is a seductive story that will leave you begging for more!
