Future Fake Husband - Kate Hawthorne,E.M. Denning

Cole is running out of time.  His mother lets him in on the secret that his grandparents are giving the vineyard he runs to his vapid sister after she marries.  All that he has worked for will be lost.

Rhett has always known he is not good enough for his twin brother's best friend.  Cole is the sexiest man he has ever seen.  When he proposes they plan for their futures together, it seems like the best plan.

I am going to be honest with you.  I have never read either of these authors' books.  After this amazing story - that will change.  I loved this story so much I eagerly gobbled each page.  I laughed, cried, and rejoiced with these characters.  Happily, this is an amazing read that I, for one, hope makes it into the movie theaters.  So hot!  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

This was really good; Robert Garson is a great reader
Warlock Holmes - A Study in Brimstone - G.L. Denning

If you are doing Halloween Bingo, this book would work for: Spellbound, Supernatural, Relics and Curios, Shifters, and Country House Mystery.  The only reason I am not counting it is because I started the audio before Sept.

Warlock Holmes is part parody/part fantasy rendering of Sherlock Holmes.  Each chapter is based on a Holmes' adventure, and usually includes Watson doing some type of riff about a logical point or Victorian behavoir.  (The whole discussion of the speckled ban is worth the cost of the book).

The difference is that Warlock Holmes is a man of unique talents and isn't quite normal.  He might not be the brightest bulb in the bunch, but he is likable.  His friends in Scotland Yard are also slightly different.

Robert Garson's narrative voice is spot on.  He also doesn't do silly and annoying female voices.

The book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger.  But there is are second and third volumes.

This is great.

Building Better Teams this year
The Best Team Wins: The New Science of High Performance - Chester Elton,Adrian Gostick
The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups - Daniel Coyle
The Age of Agile: How Smart Companies Are Transforming the Way Work Gets Done - Stephen Denning

Working on my next review for Global Business and Organizational Excellence with 3 inspiring titles that deserve the press they are getting. Told with a nice combination of anecdote, interviews and compelling data.

Book #862 - 346,905 Pages Read
Abyss - Troy Denning

Luke Skywalker continues to look for the reason why Jacen Solo turned to the dark side, which leads him and Ben to the old Maw Cluster where he has to submit to dangerous rituals in search for the truth. The Jedi Order continue to battle outside forces such as Galactic Alliance Chief of State Daala and Council Master Kenth Hamner in their quest to find out why Jedi are falling to an epidemic of madness. Han and Leia, along with Jaina, also try to protect these sick Jedi from being taken into custody. Eventually, Ben and Luke confront Sith forces bent on destroying them. Pretty decent book, but more of the same from the previous two, if not slightly better written. I'm hoping the Fate Of The Jedi series moves forward soon...

Book #853 - 343,513 Pages Read
Invincible (Star Wars Legacy of the Force, #9) - Troy Denning

This one concludes the Legacy Of The Force series, chronicling the rise and fall of Jacen Solo in the now defunct Expanded Universe (also affectionately known as the Legends series now). Jaina ironically trains with Boba Fett, who once nearly brought about the destruction of her father, in preparation of confronting her twin brother, now known as Darth Caedus. A somewhat emotionally flat galactic battle occurs in the background as Jaina embarks on her quest to destroy her brother, all the while other familiar players are positioning themselves politically for the aftermath of the various conflicts. A good read, but not a great one, as it ends up somewhat underwhelmingly with several issues unanswered, presumably to be addressed in the upcoming Fate Of The Jedi series, which ended up being the last with familiar EU characters.
