Inhalt: Miss Peregrine kehrt gemeinsam mit Jacob, Emma und den anderen besonderen Kindern in Jacobs Heimat Florida zurück. Gemeinsam versuchen sie, sich in die moderne Zeit einzufügen - inklusive langen Strandspaziergängen und anderen normalen Tätigkeiten.
Doch die amerikanischen Zeitschleifen, in denen sich die Besonderen vor der Welt verbergen, sind noch weitgehend unerforscht und schon bald ist Miss Peregrine von der Idee fasziniert, einen Atlas der Schleifen anzufertigen.
Dann findet Jacob heraus, dass sein Großvater Abe nicht alleine gegen die Monster gekämpft hat, die die besonderen Kinder jagen - und dass Abes Partner noch lebt. Aber auch altbekannte Feinde sind lebendiger, als es Jacob lieb ist...
Meine Bewertung: Ich muss einfach eingestehen, dass die Serie nichts für mich ist...
Ich liebe die Charaktere, ich liebe die Welt. Ich finde auch den Schreibstil nicht schlecht. Ich habe nur mit der Umsetzung von allem irgendwie zu kämpfen. Ich liebe die Freundschaften zwischen all den besonderen 'Kindern'. Ich liebe es neue Charaktere kennenzulernen. Aber irgendwas fehlt mir einfach total. So oft war ich einfach nur gelangweilt. Außerdem, unbeliebte Meinung, aber ich kann der Beziehung zwischen Jacob und Emma absolut nichts anfangen. Das ganze Drama da brauch ich einfach nicht.
Es ist eine ziemlich kurze Bewertung, weil ich erstens nichts spoilern will und zweitens, habe ich einfach absolut nichts über das Buch zu sagen. Hätte ich es nicht als Hörbuch gehört, hätte ich so viel länger gebraucht um es fertig zu lesen. Nur die Bilder haben mir bei dem Hörbuch gefehlt.

My review: I just have to admit to myself that this series just doesn't work for me...
I love the characters, I love the world. I also enjoy the writing. I just struggle with how everything comes together. I love the friendships between all the 'kids'. I love getting new characters and getting to know them. But at the end of it all, there is just something missing. So many times I find myself being bored. Also, unpopular opinion, I don't care about Jacob and Emma at all. This is just drama that I don't need at all.
It's a short review, firstly, I don't want to spoil anything, and secondly, I just don't have anything more to say about the book. If I wouldn't have listened to the audiobook, I probably would have taken forever to actually finish the book. The only thing I missed from the audiobook were the pictures.
