The Legend - Donna Grant

The Legend is the 3rd book in the Sons of Texas series from Donna Grant. I had somehow missed the first 2 books in the series, but felt like the author did a great job catching the reader up on the history of the Loughman family and the other characters in the series.

I enjoyed The Legend. I really loved that Callie and Wyatt had something between them from their past that Wyatt's family didn't ever know for sure happened. The tension and banter between Callie and Wyatt with everything going on honestly made me laugh many times, which was welcome as this book had so many stressful situations. I absolutely loved that both Callie and Wyatt are so protective of the other. I also loved discovering that Wyatt was the reason Callie's family had stayed away for so long.

I do feel like since I picked up The Legend, and it is the third book in the series I missed out on some key elements to the other members of the Loughman family and other characters from the series. I was able to catch on pretty quickly to the various bad guy characters, but it took me a minute each time a new person was mentioned. I loved the romantic suspense elements to the story and felt like Ms. Grant did a great job keeping her readers wanting more. So much so, that I plan to go back and read the first 2 books in the series to better understand all the choices made to date.

I adored Callie and Wyatt as a couple and even with all the turmoil around them. They had super hot chemistry and I was honestly surprised they waited so long to act upon that chemistry. They also truly loved each other and it showed in all the little and big things they did for one another. I enjoyed watching them both finally admit to their feelings and move towards a future together.

I'll say it now. I felt like this book had a bit of a cliffhanger ending. I honestly thought this book would wrap up the series, so imagine my surprise when everything wasn't tied up with a bow at the end. Yes I understood as the book ended we need at least one more story to get the whole Loughman family story, but I was expecting it to wrap up with The Legend, so it put me off a little at the end. That being said, I really enjoyed Ms. Grant's voice and look forward to reading more books from her in the future.

Absolutely Loved It!!
The Legend - Donna Grant

Wyatt Loughman has avoided going home for years because of his hatred towards his father. Now he is back and working with his brothers to find his father after their aunt and uncle have been killed. He and his brothers have separated and paired off while they untangle who their enemies are. Unfortunately he’s now with the one person who has always held his heart, Callie Reed.

This is the third book about the Loughman’s and I enjoyed it just as thoroughly as the other two. This book had my full attention right from the beginning. I had been waiting since the end of the last one to find out how this courageous family would finish their story. Everything between Wyatt and Callie was heartbreaking. The one thing I love about the books from this author is her ability to write strong women and men that make them stronger and not weak. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it.

Book Review For: The Legend by Donna Grant
The Legend - Donna Grant

'The Legend' by Donna Grant is Book Three in The "Sons of Texas" series. This is the story of Callie Reed and Wyatt Loughman. I do feel that you will enjoy and understand this book better if you read the previous book. These book main focus is with the Loughman brothers and so this book opens us up to Wyatt. Both Callie and Wyatt are strong main characters that won't easily give into their feelings but love wins out for sure. This has some exciting situations...so if you love some drama and mystery to your romance this is your series.
Love Ms. Grants writing and this just added to my admiration for her.

Great Continuation of a Great Series
Blaze - Donna Grant

Anson is a Dragon King. Unlike many of the others, he’s never trusted humans and he doesn’t see any value in them. When he is sent to protect two dragon mates while surveying a tech company that has been after the Dragon Kings, he can’t help his attraction to Devon, the human they think might help them get access to what they need. When Devon gets mysteriously contacted, her curiosity is peaked. As she starts to dig through the rabbit hole, she finds that nothing it what it seems at the company she has worked so hard for.

This is probably one of my favorites of this series so far. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit Matrixy, which worked. Devon is definitely one of my favorite females written by this author. She also did a great job in revealing even more in the series storylines. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend.

Book Review For: 'Blaze' by Donna Grant
Blaze - Donna Grant

'Blaze' by Donna Grant is book 11 in the "Dark Kings" series. This is the story of Anson and Devon. I have been jumping in and out of this series so for me this was a standalone book.
Anson is a Dragon King shapeshifter who is trying to get the jump on a company called Kyvor with a hacker that tried to break into their company. To do so they need to get Devon on their side to get the secrets of that company...and to help bring it down. Anson and his crew start slowly at first trying to bring doubt into Anson business world. Devon is on the fast track at Kyvor but is unaware of what some of the things that company does. Anson is opening her eyes to allot of things that have been going on.
Anson isn't to excited with humans, but he is finding Devon who is a human hard to resist. Devon who loved to be in a relationship but hasn't found a man yet that isn't imitated by her and her job.
Will Anson be the man/Dragon for her?
Ms. Grant writes so exceptional stores that take you into a very exciting 'world'. This book was another hard to put down story...loved it.
