Faking It (Metropolis, #1) by Riley Hart and Devon McCormack Review
Faking It - Devon McCormack,Riley Hart

Gary should be living it up in his South Tower unit of Metropolis, but he's having a hard time adjusting to his newly single status. It's not easy to walk away from five years with his ex, who he discovered was cheating on him with some North Tower twink. After a night out partying, licking his wounds, he goes to bed alone. When he wakes the next morning, there's a naked guy in his bed. Not just any guy. A stud from North Tower. But hot as he is, what the hell is he doing in his room?

Travis doesn't get why Gary's freaking out. So he went home with Gary's roommate and accidentally crawled into the wrong bed. It's not the first time he's woken up in a strange place. Maybe Gary would loosen up a little if he gave it a try as well. Travis has more important things to deal with though...like his meeting with an investor who could give him the money to start his massage clinic.

They're both sure that's the last time they'll have to deal with each other until a mix-up leads Gary's ex and Travis's investor to think they're an item, which Gary and Travis use to their benefit by posing as a couple around town. Soon, they discover the chemistry between them is off the charts. Travis brings out a sexual confidence Gary didn't know he had--one Travis enjoys exploring with him. But as the two keep up their boyfriend hoax, Gary realizes Travis isn't as shallow as he thought. Gary's starting to develop feelings for him. But Travis doesn't do relationships, and Gary should know better, considering they're just faking it...

Review

I like a good fake relationship romance and this is a fun one.

I like Gary who is still hurting from his awful ex. Travis is harder to like but I warm up to him as the book goes on.

I like the idea for the series and the circle of friends is enjoyable. I am glad when Travis and Gary get their HEA.

Faking It (Ringside Romance Book 2) - Christine d'Abo

This story is book #2, in the Ringside Romance series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to better understand the series, I recommend reading this in order.

Grady has reasons for being far from home.  He is helped by a stranger one night, a night he barely remembers.  What does impress him, is how little the stranger cares about his celebrity status, money, or h is family.

Max has his focus on his club, his friends, and keeping Ringside open.  When he meets Grady, some of that focus is off.  He cannot help but be attracted and quickly smitten with someone who needs him so badly.

This couple is obviously meant to be.  It is a joy to read about men who can be both strong and sensitive.  This book is packed full of lots to enjoy.  There is heat, heart, and some hot sexy times.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Blog Tour w/Review - Faking It

Faking It

by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Date of Publication: April 11, 2017

Blurb:

Confirmed bachelor Max Sterling isn't into rescuing damsels in distress, but when the very tempting Hailey Ellison needs his help, there's only one thing for him to do. Step in and pose as her loving fiancé. Except there is nothing fake about his attraction to her, or how much he wants her beneath him in his bed, moaning his name. But what starts as a sexy, flirty, temporary engagement, quickly becomes something more serious that neither one ever anticipated.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #2 in the Book Boyfriend series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. I recommend reading this series in order.

Hailey is saved by Max when a nosy busybody interferes in her life. The consequences of the save, however, means they must play along for a time. Hailey is attracted to Max for real. Could this be a love match?

Max has wanted Hailey for himself for some time. Playing her missing man is easy when he wants to put his hands on her. It gets more complicated as time goes on, but Max has started thinking that the future may need to be different than he thought.

This book has a lot of humor, heat, and heart. I love that the characters are honest with one another. Well, as much as they can be. This was a sexy and fun read.

My Thoughts...

A good read of 'second chances' that happened to two HS sweethearts of Hunter and Desdemona. However, things will change for these two. Be ready for a fun, steamy passion, heartbreak, suspense hilarious, poignant and quick phenomenal read that will keep your attention to this twisted end. What will happen when her ex boyfriend announces on national TV that when had been faking her orgasms during their relationship? Now, how will this story come out? This is where I will say that you will have to pick up this story to see how all of this will come out. In the end the reader gets a well written romantic comedy that will definitely keep one interested turning the pages.
