Delilah Dirk and the King's Shilling
Delilah Dirk and the King's Shilling - Tony Cliff

I love this series so much, and I couldn't be more pleased that we are getting a third installment at some point. (Okay, well, I could be happier if A. I knew when we were getting it or the ultimate B. if it came out tomorrow.)

This was over 100 gorgeous pages longer than the first one, and I honestly can't decide which one I like more, because they're both so wonderful. This one is a bit different from the first, insofar as it is more plot-driven, with some backstory and scene changes, as opposed to the much quieter (ha) more picturesque life Delilah and Selim were living in the Turkish Lieutenant, and I know some people didn't like it as much because of that, but for me it worked because it felt like a natural organic change to the storytelling. Also it is awesome.

Percy Jackson's Greek Gods
Percy Jackson's Greek Gods - Rick Riordan,John Rocco

3.5 crazy situations that Percy tries to downplay but woah it's kinda hard because Greek all mythology is messed up.

I got practically more than I paid for, as far as quantity goes, in this collection of Greek myths told from everyone's favorite demi-god the cutest baby seal's point of view. However, as far as the quality went, I was a little underwhelmed. It was lacking a lot of Percy's trademark humor, which was particularly disappointing for me. I also wished that Riordan had retold a few of the lesser known myths, but I can smell another Myths companion book coming...

The Demon's Surrender
The Demon's Surrender - Sarah Rees Brennan

"For now I'm here, and I don't want to be anywhere better. Here is fine."
It had never occurred to her that Nick could be happy. Here in a tiny flat, getting white sauce on his leather wrist cuffs, lounging around reading a magazine with his brother and Mae close by. This is what the demon wanted.

Heart enough to make a home for a demon.

"Gerald asked for things. Alan told him you wouldn't do them."
Nick laughed, a horrible cracking sound, "I would have- I would have done anything."

Because you are BROTHERS.

"Why would you want to help me?"
"For Alan," Nick said. "Because if I had a soul, I would trade it for his."

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ouch this hurts.

"I remember my life, before you," he said, his voice chilly and distant. "Don't make me live like that again."

Ooops. There's a river in my room now.

(spoiler show)

The Demon's Lexicon
The Demon's Lexicon - Sarah Rees Brennan

"Alan," Nick said, and on that name of all the words in the world, his voice cracked and emerged as a guttural, inhuman croak."

"Why did you even try? Do you think you actually mean something to it?"
"I don't know," Alan snapped. "How could I know? That's not the point. He means something to me."

He thought of the name Alan, and what that meant. It seemed that the word home, once learned, was hard to forget.
(spoiler show)

UGH THIS SERIES. It's been over a month and I'm still freaking out over it.
