4 Out Of 5 STARS for No Exit by Taylor Adams
No Exit - William Taylor Adams

๏ ๏ ๏  Highlights ๏ ๏ ๏

Unrelenting Suspense
Nail-Biting Thriller
Stranded in a Snow Storm
Colorado Rockies
Totally Twisted

With Narration Performed by Sarah Naughton

๏ ๏ ๏  My Thoughts ๏ ๏ ๏

Stranded at a Colorado rest stop with a would-be child kidnapper...in a hella snow storm.  Turns out this makes for a crazy suspenseful story.  With so many twists and turns, it made for an un-stoppable listen.  Sadly, though...for me...I felt like it just went on and on, and I started to lose interest in the MC's struggle to survive.  So much so that I had to rewind and re-listen to the last part of the story to see how it all played out.  I mean, ultimately, I was still invested in the overall story.  I do, however, believe that this could make for an excellent movie.

A Magic Dark And Bright
A Magic Dark and Bright - Jenny Adams Perinovic

A small town, a terrible tragedy, a mysterious stranger, drowned girls and a woman in white.

It is all in the mix in the first of The Asylum Saga. While overall I thought this was an enjoyable read, though it felt very Young Adult, there were some things that bothered me. Girls are being found dead, and it happens multiple times and even though they were considered suicides individually, people don't start to connect the dots. And then

they find out it has happened also some decades before and no-one of the main characters is even aware of this. Or thinks it a very weird coincidences

(spoiler show)

The bad-guy I saw coming from miles away and also the unnecessarily ass-holey ex-boyfriend could have been left out without any problems. The ending I quite liked except for the fact that it is a mega cliffhanger and I will have to read the second book to find some kind of closure.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

NO EXIT a gripping thriller full of heart-stopping twists - William Taylor Adams

A truly chilling page-turner! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with this gritty thriller. LOVED IT! This book surprised me. I love the way Darby evolved in a deliciously dark knight kind of way. She was undoubtedly a hero, but she also had to become a monster, in a sense, to fight against the real monster. Some twists I saw coming, but it didn't make them any less awesome, and others blindsided me in the best way. Highly recommend this one to fans of thrills and chills.

Love is - Diane Adams,Claire Keane

Love Is by Diane Adams is a very sweet story about the love between a little girl and her pet duckling. The story takes the reader through the beginning, middle, and end of their relationship. According to the accelerated reader, the book is best for a 2nd grader to read. In my classroom, I would use this book during the Valentines season. I would utilize it to introduce students to a simple form of poetry. After reading this to my class, I would encourage them to write a poem of their own using similar phrases to what the author uses in the text.

Reading progress update: I've read 376 out of 409 pages.
Dead Man's Hand (anthology) - John Joseph Adams

a Weird West story full of superheroes, and supervillains of course, called ‘The Golden Age’ by Walter Jon Williams. a lot of fun.

two stories left in this book, before I move on to some Horror stories, in The Invisible Eye, alternating with the tales in The Sergeant’s Cat, which have been enjoyable so far.
