Great Read!
Fighting for Flight - J.B. Salsbury

Mini Review:

I really enjoyed this book, I picked it up on Sunday at RT's Reader's & Writer's Roundup and was not disappointed!

The instant chemistry between the couple was believable. I didn't mind that they fell for each other so fast. If you know, you know right! Her dad was a complete and total jerk, and I did know from the prologue what he wanted her for, or why she was created. So I did totally see that coming. But it was different, and I enjoyed it.

I loved the interaction between the Hero and his friends. It was true to most "shop" talk between guys and for some reason I really have a thing for Blake! Can't wait to read his story!

You don't want to miss this intense read! It has a little bit of everything it and will appeal to the masses!

Fighting to Flight By JB Salsbury
Fighting For Flight - Jamie Salsbury

This book fell on my laps by accident, and after reading it im so happy it did. I enjoyed this book so much written about MMA fighters was kind of awesome. A book full of Alpha Attitude..who would not love that. Yum!..right? All characters in this book are written in so well even the secondary characters. The book is about a girl named Raven Morretti the only daughter of the infamous pimp in Vegas. And Jonah Slade a MMA fighter.. Raven having a more quiet life being a loner and raising herself, she's always preferred to have it that way. A lover of cars and a mechanic is her only love at the time. Plus having only a handful of friends she trust and by that I mean 2. Her old high School teacher Guy which she sees as a father figure and her best friend Eve.  Then you have Jonah Slade ( the Assassin), A bad ass MMA fighter that puts in 100% into his fights and training, not relationships. Jonah has lived and lives a life the opposite of Raven. Being raised by great parents, loved by all, and in front of the publics eye. But all of that changes for both of them when they meet each other. And it changes even more when Raven's father Dominique Morretti comes around claiming her and wanting for her to start working for him. The book picks up pretty fast, by the middle of the book its starts to be a page turner. Also becoming a tear jerker by reading Ravens childhood stories. The secondary characters are funny and smartasses at their best, which gives the book a more lighter feel to it. Very entertaining to read. I also love that the book is written in dual POV. Now how awesome is that!. I always prefer a Dual POV,  because its gives me a better understanding on what both characters are feeling and thinking. Over all the book is written very well with the perfect amount of hot, steamy situations in it because who wants over the top repetition right?.. Fighting for Flight is book 1 of a 5 book Series, Yes! You read it right, this series has 5 wonderful books in it. Fighting for forgiveness is book 2 in the series. And we get to know more on Blake. Another MMA fighter and Jonah's best friend. Happy Reading!!

Review:

Warning: I love protective and jealous alpha males with anger management issues in my books. If you don't this book may not be for you. Just saying ;)

I have been hearing great things about this book for months and it has been on my TOP TBR list (yes I have 2), but I was just able to read it and I can't believe I waited this long!!! I knew by the time I was halfway in that I LOVED IT!!!! So much so that I went on Facebook raving about it until got the eARC for the next book, LOL ;)

Raven our heroine is unique, she has remained loving and sweet in an environment that has treated her unfairly. She isn't mad at the world for being dealt a "bad hand" in the parental department, she may be a bit closed off but that is understandable and expected. She works as an auto mechanic, and one day in walks Jonah. He is taken aback by the fact that she is a female mechanic, but quickly realizes that he can take advantage of the situation to get to know her better.

Jonah, oh Jonah... I absolutely fell in LOVE with him SO HARD! He is gorgeous of course, but he was also sweet, sexy, caring, and totally protective! I wanted to go curl up with him through the pages so he could protect me too ;)
And when it came time for him to prove his love to Raven he did it without question. He put everything he had worked so hard for all his life on the line for her, and I loved him all the more for it!

No one has ever claimed me like he has -- stood his ground, willing to fight, just so he could have me. Our future depends on that fight.

And the sex was smokin hot, just like our hero. I mean wow! Yes it was that good ;)

He moves, slow and beautiful, loving me in a gentle rhythm that brings tears to my eyes. His gaze locks on mine, and the affection pouring between us threatens to overwhelm me.

I could FEEL everything these characters felt. Their lust, their passion, their love -- it was all physically palpable.

Holding her hands I press them to my chest "You feel that? Every beat pounding away? You do that to me."

I did not want to put this one down! Unfortunately I was extremely busy while reading this one so I had to, but every time I picked it back up I was sucked-in again, madly enthralled and on the edge of my seat! I loved how it began (the prologue rocked!) and I loved how it ended with an amazing epilogue ♥

"Fighting gave me breath, but you brought me back to life"

I cannot do this review any justice without mentioning Blake, Jonah's best friend and the hero of the next book Fighting To Forgive. He was HILARIOUS!!!!! I mean I was literally LMAO at his witty one-liners. But he was also an amazing friend to Jonah. I cannot wait to read his story (and will be soon!)

Some Blake Quotes:
"Nice Legs, what time do they open?"
"If I flip a coin, what are the chances I'll get head?"

Yeah Blake is a pig, but a funny one!
