Review: The Everlasting Rose(The Belles #2) by Dhonielle Clayton
The Everlasting Rose (The Belles #2) - Dhonielle Clayton

In this sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller, Camille, her sister Edel, and her guard and new love Remy must race against time to find Princess Charlotte. Sophia's Imperial forces will stop at nothing to keep the rebels from returning Charlotte to the castle and her rightful place as queen. With the help of an underground resistance movement called The Iron Ladies-a society that rejects beauty treatments entirely-and the backing of alternative newspaper The Spider's Web, Camille uses her powers, her connections and her cunning to outwit her greatest nemesis, Sophia, and restore peace to Orleans.

*I received a free copy from the publisher via Netgalley and chose to leave a voluntary review. Thank you!*

First off.... I don't comment on covers all that much but this time I have to say compared to the cover on the first book, this cover is  not my favorite

Luckily that was not the same for the book, I really enjoyed this second book in the series . I still totally love the world that Clayton has created. Still so very vibrant and enjoyable  We get to see even more of it this time around as out group splits up , that can sometime be a bad thing in a book and is not always a favorite but it really worked this time .

I also enjoyed how much Camellia has grown and how much she believes in herself. Not just her that made a leap but everyone grew a bit in this book and since last..

Some parts were a bit slow or felt to drawn out but overall it was a very fun and enjoyable read.

If you enjoyed the first book, you will most definitely enjoy this one as well.

So overall I will rate it 4★, enjoyed it very much except the few slow spots it had for me.

Freeform Reborn by Orrin Jason Bradford
FreeForm Reborn (FreeForm Series Book 2) - Orrin Jason Bradford,Victor Habbick

Freeform Reborn by Orrin Jason Bradford continues where Freeform left off. This is a captivating story with futuristic, paranormal events that I found entertaining. I gave it five stars.

TJ who appeared to be his deceased son emerges from a cave.

"'Daddy,' TJ repeated. 'She killed him. Why were they fighting?'

'He was a bad...man,' Allan said not quite knowing how to finish the sentence. 'He hurt her and would have hurt a lot of other people as well.'

'Does that make me bad as well?' TJ asked."

TJ has to come to terms with the fact that he is different. He can transform his body at will & enjoys doing so. He continues to grow at an exception rate of speed.

Pat & Allan's relationship is struggling because of her animosity toward TJ.

I received a complimentary advance reading copy from the author. That did not change my opinion for this review.

Freeform: An Alien Invasion Romance Series (FreeForm Series Book 1) by Orrin Jason Bradford
FreeForm: An Alien Invasion Romance Series (FreeForm Series Book 1) - Orrin Jason Bradford,Victor Habbick,Ann T. Swift,Kris Wallace

Freeform: An Alien Invasion Romance Series (FreeForm Series Book 1) by Orrin Jason Bradford began with the swooping of a helicopter low over a mountain in North Carolina. Pat Vogt asked the pilot, James, a Vietnam veteran, to use more caution.  That drew a sly wink, but he complied.  She was accustomed to sly winks from her male co-workers.  She was five-foot, two-inches & had muscular curves that made men stop & look twice.

She worked out in a gym or karate dojo to stay strong & healthy.

Pat was part of the new team B.I.U.F.O. (Bureau of Investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects) designated to investigate the 'Waynesboro NC UFO Case'.  She was forced into early retirement under suspicious circumstances. She was a stubborn woman who then established a private investigation agency.

Doc Allan Pritchard was the Waynesboro Veterinarian.  He had a major secret about T.J. "'He is a growing boy,' he answered, but the thought made him nervous.  So far, since telling Kendra the fable about the growth problem, she'd kept her word not to say anything to anyone, but how long could she be counted on not to let something slip?  He felt as though he was skating across a lake of thin ice, listening to the dull thuds of the ice cracking.  Living a life of lies was becoming increasingly uncomfortable."

This was a fast moving, exciting book about alien invasion, genetic engineering with a touch of romance. I gave it five stars start to finish.
