a bit frazzled

So I got my schoolstuff done, got my menial errands done, but I didn't get to the bookstore and I didn't get to clean the house, and I'm just now sitting down to eat.
Doing anything in LA takes a million years.

I don't think I'm going to be able to get into Honors English because of my idiot math grades... who needs math!? I can write you a 12 page paper within 2 days if I have to... that's an average of 6 pages a day... see, math! That's all the math I need! I'm going to try anyway. I have an application with a little essay that I've got to bring in on Monday morning, so we'll see... honestly I really should get my math skills up even though my brain attic closes its doors to math every single time I try.

In other news, I'm taking this Anthropology class online and I'm thinking it's going to be pretty intense! Which is good- I want to challenge myself, and most of my other classes aren't challenging at all, outside of finding the money for textbooks (cue that corny joke drum beat thing). It's Cultural Anthropology, which I'm extremely interested in. The discussion group should be a little easier for me than it used to be when I took online classes now that I've gotten used to interacting in forums a bit more. It looks like there is A LOT of reading to be done, but the most challenging thing is probably the fieldwork. I'm not entirely sure what it entails but we're supposed to go out and observe/interview people and take pictures and everything and write up an anthropological study. I'm thinking this class is going to take up a lot of time, so some of my posts might just be pieces I worked on for class, same with English Lit 1. I'm aiming to make straight A's for the first time in my life so I'm a little nervous about having two online classes (anthro. and math) but I'm going to go through my planner right now and schedule everything out, and I'll make sure to schedule booklikes time as well!

If anyone has any tips on how to handle school and work and adulting all at the same time, I'd be thrilled to hear them!

500+

I thought I would do someting special the day I got 500 followers, but as usual too much around me and now I have passed the number. But I shouldn't be sad about that, I've got a bunch new friends.

Sp let's do the introduction again instead. Well my name is Magdalena and I'm Swedish and right now I was thinking about buying a book that I really want, but I know what I have too much to read as it is so it's just going to add more books to my my tbr pile (mountain)...

As you can see I'm a bookaholic bookhoarder with a tendency to spend my money on buying books. That's not the worse part. How can't it now be the worse part you wonder?

I also am a member at both NetGalley and Edelweiss (warning enter the sites at your own risk). That means I can request books, get them and review them. I have shamelessly abused both sites and now I have quite a lot to read.

And it get's even worse. Yes it does. I also do blog tours, and I have a problem with saying no. On the plus side, I have started to say no to authors asking me to review there books. I do have to work also you know...

Anyway. Welcome to a bookaholics blogs, to a Mad Mad World!

MIA

So good news I'm not dead. just been a little MIA of late from the internet.
between work, study, struggling to find a place to do placement at, an attempt at a social life, Gym and Tv i felt like i had zero time for anything else. I blame Tv, usually not a problem but of late i have been binge-ing on Izombie, Almost Human and 12 Monkeys. God there SOO good, I'm ridiculously addicted.

It didnt help that my current book The Night Circus couldn't hold my attention for long periods of time, don't get me wrong it had its moments of spectacular-ness (yes thats a word, i just created it) but it just could never hold me for long, and I'd end up getting bored and doing something else, or i just didnt have time.

I also got my teeth examined and cleaned, cost me a nice $150,  Plus i paid a parking fine, which was a nice little $170 on top. YAY! good news, i need to go back to the dentist again apparently somewhat ASAP which i don't currently have the extra $$ for. oh and did i mention I'm failing at getting a placement for my course? i was suppose to start that last week, not stressful at all. Though i did manage to go to the gym tonight (first time in a week) so that made me feel good about myself! ^_^ not all bad i suppose.
oh and i had yummy yummy cheap pizza for dinner.

food soooo good

PIZZA!!

anyone else slightly weird-ed out but excited by this?
