Jock Road (Jock Hard, #3) by: Sara Ney
Jock Road (Jock Hard #3) - Sara Ney

Triple J is about to meet his match off the field. Charlie and Jackson definitely light up the pages with their electric chemistry and their back and forth banter. Ney gradually pulls at emotions with a relationship that shouldn't work, but somehow does. Charlie has a chip on her shoulder a mile wide. She guards her heart fiercely. Jackson is a distraction she doesn't need, but so wants. Jackson doesn't play by the rules. He's in it to win it and the game just might cost him his heart. Jock Road delivers humor with a heartwarming twist of temptation. Sara Ney keeps hearts racing and smiles coming with sassy dialogue and a full force attraction that practically leaps off the page and into your heart.

People think I’m crazy. They’re right. They just don’t know why. Nobody knows the truth about me, but she sees right through me with her big blue eyes.
I’m reckless and wild. But when I see her, I want something different. For the first time in nearly a decade, I start thinking about what happens after.
After I catch my brother’s killer.
She doesn’t seem to care that I’m a merciless criminal who will stop at nothing for revenge. She softens me, and that’s a luxury I can’t afford.
She’s the most dangerous thing for a guy like me, but I can’t seem to stay away.
I gave up everything to find out the truth about what happened to my brother. It’s been years since his murder, and it’s taken me that long to get this close. I need to end it, once and for all.
My demons are big, but when she gets in the way, I find out my need for her is even bigger.
Hard Road
is Book 4 in the Untouchables MC series. It can be read as a standalone. There is no cheating and a guaranteed happily ever after.

I have to say that this was and enjoyable read for us as it was filled with tons of emotion, suspense,a great cast of characters, second chances, and about healing ones battered soul.

Parker - We found her to be savvy, brave, strong, cunning, broken, courageous, beautiful inside and out.

Shane-We found him to be dark, broken, dangerous, sweet, kind, generous,
protective,lost and sexy as sin.

We really enjoyed the story as it all started out with a misunderstanding between Parker and Shane but, one thing is for sure since their first meeting he was protective of him/her and they had some sort of connection neither understanding why.

Shane we loved him from the onset of the story you felt his pain from losing his brother as well as losing his identity. With Shane being undercover and constantly posing as someone he is not has taken a toll on him but, Parker turns out to the bright light in his very dark world.

Parker was this little shy little thing when we first met her but, we saw her blossom into the women she was meant to be before life intervened and took her light away.We loved seeing her leave her old life behind and become this vibrant and determined women and now felt she was worthy of being loved.

We loved the story and how two kindred spirits found each other in order to heal and be free of the pain they lived in for so long.Shane and Parker where perfect for one another her soft to his hard but, not soft enough to live his life or share his demons.

We loved this couple together especially the lengths Shane went to keep Parker and holy hotness did this couple create sparks and chemistry.Shane cracked me up most of the time with his antic's protectiveness and jealousy .lol

We are really enjoying these characters in this series we love them all but, we also have to give a shout -out to all the old ladies of this club their just a hoot and make me laugh time and time again.

Looking for to the next installment.

Hard Road by J.B. Turner
Hard Road - J.B. Turner

*** copy provided by publisher through NetGalley ***

I'm quite a fan of suspense/thriller novels (even without the romance aspect) if they're written well. Unfortunately this one wasn't.

The premise was good and at first it did look promising, but the overly descriptive narrative style ruined it. It was all about what the characters wore, what they ate, what roads they took...On and on and on it went until it got so bothersome it overshadowed the story.

The Long Hard Road Out of Hell
The Long Hard Road Out of Hell - Marilyn Manson,Neil Strauss Normally I relish a good rock/music memoir. I'm not prude but I detested this.

The Long Hard Road Out of Hell
The Long Hard Road Out of Hell - Marilyn Manson,Neil Strauss This was one of those memoirs where they try to fill out the pages with random lists and poems, etc. I was a bit surprised that Marilyn Manson would use the same trick as Jenna Jameson to try to make it seem like there was more to his book than there was. I don't think you can take much of the book at face value, either. It felt to me like he was trying to mythologize himself. playing up how little he cares about anyone, and just generally trying a bit too hard to demonstrate how hard core he is. And some parts (the car wreck where 2 people die very dramatically in front of him and he just blithely strolls by comes to mind) feel entirely fabricated just to show how detached he is from the rest of humanity. He keeps insisting that what he does is performance art, but everything he said makes it sound like shock rock to me. In fact, Alice Cooper's stuff always seemed to have a much deeper message than what Marilyn Manson does. All that being said, it was not completely unenjoyable, and it at least broke the pattern that most of these rock star memoirs follow. Also the stuff about Anton Lavey was interesting.
