Rosemary Cottage (The Hope Beach Series)
Rosemary Cottage (The Hope Beach Series) - Colleen Coble This book can be something. I got really into it. I love the fact the Mystery goes though the entire book and you do not figure it out until towards the end. Though you do not until the very end of the book. This book really keep me interested and it made me really want to find out what happen to Ben Lang. I also wanted to find out how Gina had died. It really a good book more mystery then romance. Though you see the friendship that goes though. It also talks about Amy Lang and her struggles as well.

Publication Date: 7/9/13

Format:  Other

Series: Series: Hope Beach Series , #2

Pages: 336

My Rating:  4 Stars.

Colleen Coble’s ROSEMARY COTTAGE, is part of the Hope Beach series (#2), and can be read as a standalone; however, you will fall in love with this series, and want to read them all. Set in the coastal area of the Outer Banks area, of North Carolina— a nice contemporary romance, with lots of mystery and suspense.

Having read an advanced reading copy of (#3) SEAGRASS PIER, Hope Beach series—packed with suspense, mystery, emotion, complex characters, a psychopath, obsession, and romance—A "Must Read" coming July 1—and one you will want to read!

After reading TIDEWATER INN (#1), readers will enjoy following up with characters and the setting of this beautiful area. Rosemary Cottage is a cottage that has been in Amy Lang's family for generations. She is returning to the area after the death of her brother, Ben for a multi-layered mystery. There were circumstances surrounding his death, and she begins searching for answers, while grieving for her brother. Ben was a strong swimmer, so things do not add up.

Even her own parents won't support her decision to investigate Ben’s death—she plans to move her midwife practice while trying to put the pieces of puzzle together and solve this mystery. She hopes the Coast Guard team will be of assistance --No one is taking the suspicious email she received serious.

Meet Curtis Ireland, a Coast Guard Officer who lives in the area. His sister, Gina, also died in a swimming accident, as well. She was also a strong swimmer, with dreams of the Olympics. She left a seven month old little girl named Raine—Curtis is raising her with his aunt Edith. Curtis also is keeping Raine’s father a secret.

Curtis and Amy knew of one another; however, never really close friends. When they meet again, they are both grieving, and begin to wonder if the mystery behind their loved ones’ death could be connected. While they work on the details, an attraction develops between these two. However Amy has a secret as well. How far will they go to keep their secrets from being discovered?

Well-developed characters with many twists and turns for a nice light mystery, romance, and family drama. Would recommend to those enjoying Christian fiction with an intriguing story. A novel of redemption, loss, love, and forgiveness—one of letting go, in order to move on

A special thank you to Thomas Nelson--FICTION and NetGalley for a complimentary reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book Review: Rosemary Cottage by Colleen Coble
Rosemary Cottage (The Hope Beach Series) - Colleen Coble

Title: Rosemary Cottage (Hope Beach #2)

Author: Colleen Coble

Genre: Christian Fiction

Publisher:  Thomas Nelson

Available: NOW

Rating:  4 of 5 stars.

Summary:  Amy comes to Rosemary Cottage to help heal from the pain of her brother's mysterious death off the shores of Hope Beach.  Was it really an accident? Curtis is also morning the loss of his sister under tragic circumstances.  While they work through the mystery involving the loss of their loved ones, will they also find love?

This is the second book of Cable's in the Hope Beach series. Set on an island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the story is a mixture of romance and mystery.  While the beautiful surroundings of the island seem the perfect place for a romance, the atmosphere is disrupted by wrongful deaths and intrigue. Who killed Gina and Ben and why?

I love this series, because Cable creates for us interesting and diverse characters and sets us on edge in a place where we should usually feel comfortable and peaceful.  I think I liked this one even better than the first.

Recommend for:  Readers of Christian Romance/Suspence

Note:  I was provided a copy of the book by the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

Rosemary Cottage (The Hope Beach Series)
Rosemary Cottage (The Hope Beach Series) - Colleen Coble I think I actually liked this one a bit more than the first. There is a really good, solid mystery along with a very sweet romance. I thought the mystery was really intriguing. I was sucked in right away and couldn't put the book down. I wanted to know what really happened to Gina and Ben. I won't give it away, but you can count on the fact that not everything is as it seems. The twist surprised me in the end!

I loved the characters. Curtis is one of the Coasties who is raising his sister's daughter, Raine. Amy has moved to the island to find out what happened to her brother. She doesn't believe his death was an accident. While she and Curtis investigate both his and Gina's deaths, they become closer. I loved these two together. They are both grieving and trying to heal from their losses. I really admired Amy and her convictions when it came to midwifery and natural healing. Her reasons for not wanting to get close to Curtis were heartbreaking, but I was really rooting for her to be able move past that and allow herself to find love.

Along with a great romance and mystery, we are able to catch up with Libby and Alec from the first book. I was so happy to see they were still happy and in a wonderful place. I'm hoping that in the next book, Sara and Josh find their HEA, maybe? I look forward to the next visit to Hope Beach!
