Southside Collection
The Hustle of Kim Foxx - Steve Bogira
Cellmates - Tori Marlan
The Waiting Room - Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve
The Gun King - John H. Richardson
Payback - Natalie Y. Moor

This is a series of 5 articles/essays about the Southside in Chicago, or to be on point crime, justice and race in Chicago.  They are by five different authors so somewhat mixed.

The Waiting Room is most likely the most moving as it deals with the presence of a jail in the neighborhood as well as the impact of jail on the lives of people.  It is more thoughtful and deep than The Gun King, which is about a young man sent to jail for dealing guns.  Gun King does raise legit questions but it needed to be a bit longer.

The profile of Kim Foxx is good and in depth.

Millionaire Underdog - JT Foxx’s Teachings for Success

JT Foxx is a name that most entrepreneurs recognize when attending seminars. He is without a doubt a world renown personality and considered to be the #1 wealth coach in the world. He is a serial entrepreneur of a lot of companies, brands and a property investor. However, all of this success didn't come overnight.

He started out with $974 in his pocket at the age of 24, and he never dared to look back. He built a global empire that spans over 40 countries and still standing strong up to this day. Along with his success as a coach, he's also a to-selling author with his book, Millionaire Underdog. The Millionaire Underdog reviews and success stories are through the roof with people saying that this is a must-read book. Let's find out why in the first place.

Millionaire Underdog - The Book Review

The book is clearly reaching out to all entrepreneurs -- new and seasoned. It's basically a blueprint of the different elements an entrepreneur must have in order for them to become successful. The book has a ton of information, it would be impossible to review all of it in here. You could break it down by chapter and have enough blog posts for a year, but we'll just have to discuss the important points here.

At the start of the book, he tackles about the mindset. He illustrated 11 theories about such. These theories are, according to Foxx, "bold statements...that are intended to disrupt the normal and change the way you think". We won't be enumerating them all in here; however, the transactional vs transformational mindset will be discussed here.

For starters, transactional thinkers are asking the question HOW (for instance: How do I get more customers?). On the other hand, transformational thinkers ask the question WHY (Why should clients transact business with me?). According to Foxx, the WHY is better than the HOW due to it being more strategic. This is how millionaires ought to think according to Foxx.

A recurring theme is the importance of taking action. Foxx also speaks of having dreams and dream boards; however, you need to use those dreams to fuel your action to get to where you want to be. You need to make a plan, and you must follow it. Perhaps you'll modify your plans along the way to adapt to unforeseen changes; however, you must keep on pressing forward until you get to where you want to be.

In addition, the book also addresses the longevity of a business. In order for a business to stay competitive and relevant, it must continually innovate either acquisitions or development. The business must evolve continually. Plus, Foxx also emphasizes about the importance of branding and marketing, and how it has become vital to the success of just about any business in today's modern time.

To Conclude

To conclude, Millionaire Underdog is an actual blueprint to how to succeed in business. The book will walk you through things like marketing, sales, growth, time management and the importance of having a proper mindset. Changed Into An Elven Goddess by Jezabel Foxx
Changed Into An Elven Goddess Part I (VERY Steamy Gender Swap) - Jezabel Foxx

Harold and Julie are hiking in a little traveled area and come across a ruined temple in the forest. Inside they find an ornate box that contains two different colored vials. Yep, I had that Matrix moment as they tried to decide what to do. Harold takes the initiative and downs half a vial, offering the rest to Julie. At first, there is only silly, nervous giggling from the two, but then things begin to change.

Not only do the two transform in to sexy elves, they also gender swap! Indeed, they were quite surprised. The author introduces some playful humor here as each character investigates his or her new body and personal bits. The sexy humor gave the story a light tone.

Some straight forward sweet & steamy romance scenes ensue as they start to explore the opposite’s new body. If you like your erotica light, fun, and just the basics, then I think you’ll enjoy this one.

Of course, towards the end, there’s this other vial. Things do not go as planned for these two! So I’m glad there is second book out there to tell us how it works out for this couple.

I received a copy of this audiobook at no cost from the narrator in exchange for an honest review.

The Narration:  Yvonne Syn was a good choice of narrator for this book. She did a great job of keeping the voices straight even as Julie and Harold underwent a gender swap. I liked her playful sexy voices for the characters as they explored their new situation.

Monster Porn Monday #1
Minotaur Lust (Shifter Monster Erotica) - Snowe Foxx,Helios Panthera

*Book source ~ Free on Amazon

Athena is a female gladiator among a bunch of men and a Minotaur named Taurus. She dreams of winning her freedom and she secretly lusts after Taurus even though he’s a monster. When a fire sweeps the arena they escape to freedom, but will they act on their desires?

Incurring my wrath as these damn stories are wont to do, it starts at 14% and ends at 86%. Stop it! Also, this is a total cheat in the revered monster porn genre. Taurus starts out as a Minotaur and then after they escape, and Athena reveals she wants to screw him, he conveniently remembers a magical spell that makes him human. Only then does he fuck Athena with his gigundously huge cock. I feel betrayed in the worst way. I was looking forward to her riding the bull and instead I get mundane human sex. *sigh* On top of that, it also needs editing. What else is new?

The Outlaw Women
The Outlaw Women - Amber Foxx

I read the first book in the Mae Martin series last year but it wasn't really something for me. (You can read my review of The Calling here)

But since I already downloaded this free short story that was set before the series, I decide to read this short story featuring Mae's grandmother who's still imported in (at least the first book of) the series.

And I enjoyed this story more than the actual book (for as far as I can remember). The writing was good and there for once actually was some kind of a mystery was going on. For anyone who likes the series, I'd definitely recommend it. It used to be available to read on GoodReads but I can't find it any more.

The Outlaw Women is a short story set before the rest of the series. The Calling is the first book in the Mae Martin Mysteries.
