M. J. O'Shea - Coming home
Coming Home - M. J. O'Shea

I searched for this book as soon as I read a review and a summary, I was completely hooked, and I'm so glad I read it because I loved it.

Typical jock and nerd fall in love kind of story but with SO much more. You have, feelings, and character development, is kind of a slow build in the relation with its ups and downs. Pretty realistic too, because no matter how much time passes, there are still those close minded a**holes. Fell in love with Lex and Tally, and loved their interactions and how good they were together.

Realistic, well written and with so many feelings. I completely recommend it.

Poppy Dennison - Blindsided
Blindsided - Poppy Dennison

Super short one, I wish I could have more of it!

It was so sweet (despite the violent environment), Noah is a young man that has to fight (illegal fights, of course) to paid a debt. In comes Jax, a new fighter that gets interested by Noah and cares for him and his health (Noah is pretty beaten up and getting worse with each passing fight, and is almost blind in one eye, hence the title), giving Noah hope of a better life without fighting that of, course until when he finds out Jax's a fed.

The thing is, could they have a happy ending when everything ends and have to go out and live in the real world?

I wish I could have had pages and pages of this, is was sooo good.

review SPOILER ALERT! 2014-07-02 01:38
Jaya Christopher - Cody and the hermit
Cody and the Hermit - Jaya Christopher

This one is short but good. I loved Cody, the nice guy everyone loves, and how after all the years of having a crush on Kenny, he finally has a chance to be with him (of course it happens after Cody is practically rejected by Kenny and decides to move on).

And of course I loved Kenny even more. Kenny the big, bad hermit that liked Cody all this time too but thought he wasn't enough for him and tried to keep Cody aways from him and his kinks.

Luckily for us, or me, it took a dose of jealousy to make Kenny man up and declare his love. And, surprise, surprise, the thing Kenny was afraid of, to want to be rough and play it hard with Cody, was something out lovely Cody wanted all along too.

Voltaire - Candide
Candide - Voltaire

First of all, I have to say it's not a bad book. It's actually pretty good if you like that kind of writing. Unfortunately, I don't.

I guess I started to read it with high expectations, because every review I read said the book was amazing and it as going to change my way to see the world. That didn't happen.

Perhaps it was because I read it in English instead of going for the translated one, but I didn't enjoy it like I was hoping to.

The naivety of Candide sometimes exasperated me, even if I knew it was made to be like that, it was just so UUUUUGGGGHHH.

I won't say it was a completely waste of time, because the book does has some pretty good phrases and maybe advices if you like, but, not my cup of tea.
