REVIEW
This story is mostly about Willow. What a horrid , wretched , heartbreaking life this young woman had. Her mother died when she and her siblings were still very young. Her drunk of a father was abusive in more ways then physical. No wonder she is always on the run. She had met Josh while in a small town and then her father found them and they took off again on the run and leaving Josh. She had never allowed herself to love but love Josh she did.

Willow goes through the paces of each day but her heart won't let go of the one thing that made her life so wonderful Josh is never far from her thoughts. But what does she have to offer? She is broken in some ways.

The author blew this 2nd book out of the water. Willows story is so tear jerking so make sure you have your Kleenex. I also found emotions I didn't know I had mostly though just anger. Anger at how horrible a young woman’s life could be. But Willow is not a whiner she is strong and determined. They finally land in California and she takes a job and she keeps trying to get her brother Cole to move on with his life but he is not leaving his sister and baby sister alone. Well Willow doesn't give him a choice. But something happens with Mya and now Willow has no clue where to turn.

Will she ever see Josh again? She chose California for a reason.
I truly loved this story but again we have one huge cliffhanger.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review

REVIEW

This story picks up where Imprisoned Tortured Soul 0.5 left us hanging and wow what a continuation of the story it is. I did not put this book down until I finished it. Josh has finally opened up in therapy and is trying to put his life back on track. Josh sees a young woman on the local bridge and fears where this might go so it’s Josh to the rescue although the girl doesn't need his help. She says her name is Willow. Later on in the story its Josh to Willows rescue again as she is being arrested for shoplifting. After that they become inseparable and become good friends. Willow is very good for Josh and his feelings are all over the place for Willow but she doesn't want to open up about herself.

Can Josh finally put his demons to rest and have a normal life?
Can Willow accept the love Josh is offering?

Another tear jerker but also I found myself smiling at many of Willow's antics. She gets Josh to realize
he is not at fault. I truly enjoyed learning so much more about Josh. And adding Willow to his crazy life was fantastic and just what his soul needed to start healing. But again we get a cliffhanger. I really want to know more about Willow and what will happen to Josh?
I really hate cliffhangers and I hope the next book is right around the corner for release.

REVIEW
New to me author

Let me start by saying this is a very short book but it packs a very powerful and emotional punch.
Drinking and driving does not mix and when you lose your best friend well hell in itself begins to wreck havoc on your very soul.

Josh learns a very hard lesson in life the hard way. When he awakens in the hospital its obvious by the look on his familys face that his life will be turned upside down.

Can Josh ever find life again?
What of his soul?
Can he forgive himself?

Make sure to have your tissues as this story just rips at your heart. I felt the characters anquish down to my very core. The author has done an excellent job with this story.

Well the book leaves us with a cliffhanger and although I don't like them I did love the book and the story.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.

★ Review ☆ Tortured, Tortured Soul #1 by Kate Givans

"Those moments of loss and death were hell on the soul; no amount of love or life could make the pain less hurtful, but they were the moments that carried you through, gave you strength to fight another day."

I am always a little nervous starting a new book from a new author who's work isn't the typical book I read. With nothing but a single quote, I decided to give it a go, boy was I surprised.

Kate is a Very promising author, and I for one am very excited to follow along with her journey.

"We all suffer from scars of torment. Some are just made more visible than others."

Josh is dealing with a lot of grief after the accident where he lost his best friend,  an accident he feels responsible for and can not move past. He goes through the motions of life, but he isn't really living it. He has shut out everyone in his life and decided to pretty much give up on life.

Then he meets her.....

"Standing on the ledge of the arched concrete bridge, arms spread wide, she looked like a bird about to take flight. I probably would have taken more time to admire the auburn curls whipping around her upturned face, the absolute freedom she seemed to embody in that moment, had it not looked like she was about to jump."

Willow, the free spirited girl who is set on having fun, living life to the fullest and is set on including Josh in that. Even if he doesn't want it.

The more he pulls away, the more she shows up and reinforces that she can be his friend. She is determined to remind him just how fun life can be and that love can come crashing through when you least expect it.

"I inhaled it on a sharp breath and tried to remind myself of all the reasons I didn't need to get involved with her. But one nagging question kept running through my head: Who is this girl, and what is she doing to me?"

With her infectious carefree attitude, it isn't long before Josh can't get her off his mind. The undeniable attraction, the connection that draws them together grows stronger with every turn of the page and Josh is left with his heart wanting the patient, bubbly and compassionate gypsy, who forced herself into his life, opening his eyes once again. And she wants him...

The only problem is, Willow has a world of secrets that she can't share, leaving Josh in the dark about her entire life.
Does he hold on with all his might to show Willow that she can trust him with her life, or move on and learn to live without the girl who brought him back to life?

I guess you will have to pick it up to find out ;)

"Even if someone had handed me a map, shown me the way back to life without Willow, I wouldn't have redirected my course. I wouldn't have changed a damn thing. That’s the funny thing about love. Sometimes you’re head over heels long before you've even have the chance to register the fall."

Kate Givans has a wonderful way of making you empathize with the characters, makes you believe their stories and leaves you crazy with frustration at waiting for the next installment.I actually had a few days break between finishing the story and actually getting the review in place, my originalreviewwas;

"He was... she's awww... And now he ..... But she's being .... Cow! ;)"

Oh, I will warn you all, my thought on seeing the words "The End"?
"HOLY FUDGE-CAKES!"
