SHE PLANNED FOR EVERYTHING-EXCEPT HIM.

Fresh off a painful break-up, wedding planner Ainsley Slone is suffering from an acute case of "always the planner, never the bride." And she's over it. It's time for a break-to figure out how to let everything go and just have a little sexy fun. And she knows the perfect person to teach her how: irresistible manwhore Ryan Lawhill.

Their deal? No sex, just fun. It's the perfect plan--until the chemistry between them starts sparking like crazy. Ryan knows all too well that Ainsley's looking for a happily-ever-after, but he's always been keep-it-fun-or-it's-done. Yet the moment they cross The Friend Zone, all bets are off-and soon the ultimate player is the one playing for keeps.

She strode toward him and cupped his strong jaw between her two hands. “Thank you, Ryan. Thank you for coming to get me and not judging me and not making fun of me.”

She’d given him the perfect fodder, of course, by trekking up a mountain in the rain just to prove to herself she didn’t need him. It had been an attempt to convince herself she didn’t care, that his regret for the kiss hadn’t penetrated. All she’d done was prove how much she did need him after all.

It was my fault.” His voice was thick, his eyebrows knit in contrition. It was a look she’d never seen on him before: real, genuine remorse.

No.” It would be unfair to let him take the blame for this. “It was my decision, and it was a bad one. I don’t want to think about it anymore though. You and I? We need to learn to let the past go.”

There had to be a way forward for them. They couldn’t go back and change things, but they could learn to make better decisions in the future. She was willing to try to change, for Ryan. Hell, she had changed for him, hadn’t she? Old Ainsley would never have gone hiking in the rain. Much as she was loath to admit it, he’d gotten to her core.

She closed her eyes and inhaled the spicy scent of him, then closed the distance. This time she would be the one to kiss him. It would be an affirmation of the other night at the concert. She’d make him understand that it wasn’t a mistake. Nothing that had happened between them so far had been a mistake, there had been a purpose behind all of it. To her relief, his lips met hers hungrily and her grip around his neck tightened. She kissed him hard, their tongues tangling together.

She nearly sagged with relief. As he kissed her back, she could almost feel his walls and his reserve, his sarcasm and his jokes, melting between them. He was opening up to her, showing her parts of himself he normally kept closed off.

He let out a low growl, then pulled back to stare at her. Her heart pounded in her ears as she met his gaze. There was a vulnerability there she’d never seen before. She almost smiled. Griffin was right, she’d had a thing or two to teach Ryan about relationships after all. It had just taken him a bit to catch on.

Keep kissing me.

As if he could read her mind, as if kicking down the last of the emotional walls that divided them, he lifted her, cupping her butt in his hands. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he tilted his head toward her and kissed her again. This time his tongue stroked hers, massaging and caressing.

A shiver ran through her and she moaned into his mouth. It was a shiver of desire, of expectation. The cold and the wet had melted completely away, as if kissing Ryan had cocooned her in a protective bubble. She didn’t care about anything other than him and the fact that they were suspended in this moment together. It was real. He was real. And, for the first time, she was pretty sure they were real together.

He pressed her against the van and his mouth trailed down to her throat. Her head fell backward and sensation throbbed inside of her as he found the hollow of her throat. He sucked gently, sending a tsunami of need through her body. For the first time she was sure that he saw her, all of her. They’d let go of their pride and ego to be in this moment together.

She eased away from his mouth and held his gaze. He looked at her longingly and gave a small, crinkled smile. It was more boyish, more filled with hope than she’d ever seen him.

Suddenly she was filled with resolve. They should get out of here. Go somewhere more...private. Comfortable. Because she knew exactly what they both wanted to come next.

Impulsively, she reached out and placed her thumb on his bottom lip. “You have a great mouth.”

He used his teeth to graze her thumb.

She gasped, her hips arching against him. He lowered his head, burying it in her neck. He nipped and licked at her neck, creating shocks of pleasure pain. After the past twenty four hours, the certainty in his touch meant more than words could.

You smell amazing. And you have the softest skin,” he murmured.

Not that she minded those words. “I...um.” She swallowed hard. “It’s a special lotion.”

He pulled his head back and grinned at her. “Oh yeah? Let me guess, from Paris. Or handmade by oompah-loompahs.”

She slanted him a look. “I like you so much more when you’re not talking. I can think of much better things you could be doing with your mouth.”

Crossing the Friend Zone (Belmont Beach Brides, #3)Crossing the Friend Zone by Kelly Eadon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #3 in the Belmont Beach Brides series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ainsley and Ryan are already friends. Or are they frenemies? They already rub each other wrong. All the time. What will happen when they rub the right way?

Ryan knows he will have hell to pay with their close group of friends if he pushes her too far. What no one else knows, is the chemistry between them is about to become flammable. All he knows is she is hot, and he is hot for her.

This was a sweet and lovely read. Has characters we are happy to revisit. The sexy times and character development makes for a great story. Excellent add for the series.

Crossing the Friend Zone
Crossing the Friend Zone - Kelly Eadon ARC Review: Crossing the Friend Zone (Belmont Beach Brides) by Kelly Eadon

Kelly Eadon is a new discovery for me, but I'm enjoying her work. The biggest lure for me is that she can lighten the mood just as quickly as she can break your heart. All while tempting your soul. Her stories are great way to sit back, relax and get away from the daily grind. Crossing the Friend Zone is a perfect expect novel. Short enough to flirt but just the right length to leave a reader craving more. Ryan and Ainsley blur the line between friendship and seduction in almost as short a time as it takes Ms. Eadon to capture the heart. Lock, stock and barrel. I'm an Eadonite for life.

The Family Man
The Family Man - Kelly Eadon The Family Man - Kelly Eadon ARC Review: The Family Man By Kelly Eadon

The beautiful artwork on the cover attracted my attention. The book description drew me in and Kelly Eadon's story captured my heart. There is something refreshingly sweet about a man like Griffin. Sacrificing in every way imaginable in order for his little girl to have the love and security that she needs and deserves. He's one of the good ones. What's ironic is that he does not see how much of a good father he actually is. It takes the hands of fate, small town living and the love of a good woman to open his eyes. Beth has a big heart, a love of baking and an attraction to one of her most profitable clients. The problem is the baggage that they both carry is heavier than either realizes. It will take a precocious child, a fiery attraction and a whole lot of faith to convince her to take a chance. I received an ARC of The Family Man for an honest review. The adorable romance, charming town and heartwarming themes are an addictive combination.

Kate stared at herself in the mirror.

This is just pretend.

What was wrong with her? She’d spent all week fortifying her internal defenses. When he’d offered to bring her dinner or keep her company, she’d assured him Beth was taking good care of her. Now, with only a few words from Margaret, she’d let herself slip back into fantasy.

A fantasy where she could kiss James whenever she wanted. Where his strong arms held her at night.

A tremor passed through her.

No! She was stronger than this. She needed to convince his family and the other guests they were dating, not herself. She tore her eyes from the bathroom mirror and unzipped the garment bag that hung from the shower curtain rod.

She shimmied into the blue lace dress.

She had to admit, Ainsley had been right about it.

The fabric skimmed over her body and showed precisely the right amount of leg. Or it would, once she got it zipped. She twisted and turned and wiggled, but couldn’t reach the zipper.

Crap. She had to ask James for help.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door leading back to the hotel room.

I’m dressed.” His deep voice sent goose bumps over her skin.

She cracked the door and poked her head through. “I hate to ask you this, but I’m stuck. I need you to zip me up. Please.”

He kept his attention on the cufflink he was hooking through his button hole. “Sure.”

She only hesitated for a moment before she stepped from the bathroom and spun, to give him access to her back.

There was a zipping sound as his fingers skated over the fabric.

She exhaled sharply. There. It was over. She turned back to him. “Thank you. I’ll be ready in one minute. I have to find my necklace first.”

You look amazing.” James' voice caught as he stared at her, his eyes a vivid, brilliant gray.

Kate couldn’t tear herself away from him. His gaze pierced her, suspending her in time and space.

He stepped toward her, curled his palm around the back of her neck and lowered his mouth to hers. A delicious tingle surged through her blood and down to her toes as their lips met. He snaked his other arm around her waist and pulled her against him as his tongue swept into her mouth.

She tilted her head back and gave herself over to him, reveling in the feel of his lips against hers. His kiss turned rougher, more urgent. Her knees went weak and her head swam as she clutched him.

Her tongue tangled with his, matching him stroke for stroke. All rational thought fled her mind and she was engulfed in a cloud of James: his smell, his taste, his touch.

He pulled back for a second and his eyes glinted as he traced his thumb over her cheek. Then he tightened his grip around her waist and took the fullness of her lower lip in his mouth. A tiny moan escaped her as he sucked gently. With every stroke of his tongue, her body melted further into his. His fingers dug into her back and she could feel his heart pound through his dress shirt.

A knock sounded on the door and she stepped back abruptly, breaking the kiss.

His eyes burned with an intensity that sucked all the air from her lungs. She shifted her gaze to the floor.

No one had ever kissed her like that.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kate and James go back to high school and prom. So when they see one another again it is with surprise. And a ton of sparks flying.....

James has always thought Kate was hot. Now he thinks she should hand out ice. He is trying to figure out how to approach her when fate takes over.

Kate wants to stop dreaming about him. Well, maybe. He is just so sexy and what is a girl to do? She agrees to help him, that's what. Now, maybe if some of the fake could be real?

This is a seriously sexy read. I was thrilled for the characters and excited to get to the end. Such a sweet and hot story.
