Pumpkin Rolls and Porn Sounds by Kris T. Bethke Review
Pumpkin Rolls and Porn Sounds - Kris T. Bethke

ill Grant only attends the PFLAG meeting because his mother guilts him into it. But the instant he hears the night’s speaker, Will is glad he showed up. Joshua Rhinehardt is dynamic and engaging. Although Joshua isn’t physically Will’s type, Will can’t get the man out of his head.

Joshua may be comfortable in his own skin, but it isn’t often men like Will are attracted to him, and he's not comfortable changing for someone else. He wants to make a life with Will, but his own insecurities keep getting in the way.

Will’s unwavering acceptance helps Joshua see that when two people connect, physical appearance just might not matter at all.

Review

This is a really sweet romance with nice dating. Will is lovely as he finds himself attracted to Josh who is not his usual type. Josh is wonderful, a baker and a big beautiful man which is a kind of hero I love

Josh has self esteem issues around his looks. Will really finds his verve with Josh.

The story format doesn't allow the depth to deal with these topics I would have liked but it is a nice read with a very nice connections between the leads.

Love and Cupcakes
Love and Cupcakes - Kris T. Bethke Love and Cupcakes - Kris T. Bethke Had some minor grammatical errors, it could have used a beta read or editor.

A short friends to lovers story. Evan has been in love with his best friend Mac? For a years but the feeling didn’t seem mutual and Evan contents himself with just knowing Mac is in his life. Then Mac calls late one night in a bit of a panic because the bakery supplying his grandfather’s birthday cupcakes won’t be able to. Mac enlists Evan’s help, and Evan being the friend he is agrees under some conditions. Evan never expects Mac to kiss him in-between baking.

No real surprises in the story the blurb pretty much summarizes the whole story but it was a fun story to read and see unfold. Mac and Evan’s interaction was nice. I didn’t expect Mac to be so crass but I guess being a firefighter wording isn’t an issue.

Review: His Needs by Kris T. Bethke
His Needs - Kris T. Bethke

Lovely story. I was happy to see Noah finally seeing Travis's true feelings for him. Noah's Italian family was great but his mother bothered me to no end..... You should think if your son found his love with your "adopted son", you would be so lucky.!!!???

“My wife helped to raise you, and she hates the reminder that you aren’t her blood. She fears change. She worries about what could be."

#bollocks

I love the dirty talking though!!

Review: His Needs
His Needs - Kris T. Bethke

This was cute!

State Trooped Travis gets injured right before Christmas. He gets hit by a car and is forced to recover at home for the next 6 weeks.

He is happy that Noah will take care of him. Noah is the younger brother of Travis’ best friend, and Travis has been in love with him forever. But Noah is quite oblivious to Travis’ feelings, so Travis tries to hide how he really feels. But it’s not long before Travis slips up and Noah finds out the truth.

Travis is mortified that Noah finally knows, but he didn’t expect Noah to be receptive to his attentions. Noah tells Travis that they will just take it slow, but that he would love to date him. The two start a sweet, tentative relationship...

This book was filled with hugs, sweet kisses, hot sex, and DIRTY TALK! It was just awesome.

I could have done without the family drama that came out of nowhere, but other than that this was super sweet.

Something Like Hope
Something Like Hope - Kris T. Bethke Something Like Hope - Kris T. Bethke 2.5 stars

I really really liked this book. Right until the last page. Right up until the point it dawned on me that the author was really trying to sell this ending as a HEA…

I'm not going to come out."
"I know."
"I mean it, Aaron. It's selfish of me, I know, but I won't put my career in jeopardy. I need to keep working, I need the roles I get, and if I came out I wouldn't get them. You know I wouldn't."
"I know," I repeated, this time soothingly. I rubbed the tense muscles in the back of his neck. "I told you before that I understood that, and I meant it. I would never ask that of you.”

Right…..
