Just for Appearances (Entangled Bliss) (Lake Bliss)
Just for Appearances (Entangled Bliss) (Lake Bliss) - Jenna Rutland After wasting 10 years in a one-sided marriage to which she sacrificed her education and youth, Rachel finally has the opportunity to make a career for herself, to stand on her own two feet and make her own life. But with 3 boys under the age of 8, she needs someone to help take care of them for the summer. With the help of some innocent meddling on the part of her friend Carol, who enlists her son John to watch her boys, Rachel has the ideal opportunity to fulfill her dreams. But the history between her and John, and her own insecurities get in the way. Because she was the who pushed him to leave all those years ago.

John was forced to leave his hometown by his father, to pursue a career in football, dashing the hopes of the townsfolk of a star athlete belonging to Lake Bliss. But the dream was never his own and when it didn't become a reality, he finally followed his own path, moving from town to town, living his own adventures and creating recreational centers for the children of those towns.

Now back in Lake Bliss after all these years has awoken memories and feelings he had for Rachel. She needs his help with her kids and he needs her help to restore the faith and trust of the townspeople in him as he sets up his recreational centre. Can they mutually benefit from this and come out of this deal hurt-free or will their feelings complicate their already complicated lives. Get yourself a copy of this book and find out because I'm not telling. ;-D

Bliss is right
Just for Appearances (Entangled Bliss) (Lake Bliss) - Jenna Rutland

John and Rachel's story starts back in high school.  They were certain it was love even then.  They were destined for greater things.  At least, he was.  His father talked her into breaking up with him and sending off to football greatness.

Now, both divorced and back in Lake Bliss, they find the attraction is still alive.  Sparks literally fly around them when they are in the same room.  He asks her to let him be her nanny.  Her three sons love this idea too.  Can she keep her hands off him if she is his employer?

His mom is one of her dearest friends and thinks this is the best solution for both of them.  John has never stopped loving her.  He has no clue even today, why she sent him away.  She wants to tell him but it has been so long. Would it even matter?

When her ex returns and wants her back - can she choose the right man for her future and her kids?  Such an engaging story that keeps you interested.  My only complaint was the abrupt sort of ending.  Full of surprises though!  This is the 2nd book in the Lake Bliss series. I give it a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Just for the Summer (Lake Bliss)
Just for the Summer (Lake Bliss) - Jenna Rutland *I received a free ARC of Just for the Summer from Entangled via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*This is one of the sweetest contemporary romances I've read in a while! This and other reviews can also be found on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews. When Dani arrives in Lake Bliss, just for the summer, she has no idea how quickly she will feel like she’s a part of the community. She meets her biological son Sam on the first day, when she has to put her nursing skills to the task in order to help him get some sand out of his eye. As Dani strikes up conversation with Rachel, she learns that Sam is living with his father Matt, and that Rachel had him over to play with her own three boys for the day.

Just for the Summer Review
Just for the Summer (Lake Bliss) - Jenna Rutland

Just For The Summer had a lot going for it, it had a great storyline and
a male character to die for but somehow it just missed the mark.
Everything was just good enough but it never crossed into anything more.

The
storyline is a serious one but it was played more as a romance, and
instead of really addressing the issue of adoption we are given a female
lead that is a little to self-pitying, I understand why she is like
that to an extent but I would have liked a little more depth and a
little less waterworks.

The biggest issue was the ending, it felt
rushed and unrealistic.  it was as though the author had a strict word
limit and so had to cram a couple of chapters worth of storyline into
one.

The best thing about it was Matt who was great.  He was a
great character he filled the romance role perfectly but was also a
really great father.  The sexual tension between him and Dani was great
but when it came to the sexy times it was (unfortunately) a fade to
black.

Just for the Summer is a quick and engaging read but could have had a little bit more.

Just for the Summer: A Lake Bliss Novel (Entangled Bliss)
Just for the Summer - Jenna Rutland Just for the Summer by Jenna Rutland is a beautiful and emotionally deep romance that will touch your heart.

Dani Sullivan has gone to Lake Bliss for the summer. Her excuse is to write her latest cookbook, but she is there for another reason too, to find and see if the baby she gave away eight years before is healthy and happy. She cannot regret the decision she made when she gave her baby away, but that does not mean that she doesn’t wonder if maybe she could have given her child a happy life herself.

All Matt Reagan cares about is his son’s happiness. In the past that meant divorcing the woman he thought he loved until he found out about her lies and deception. Now all he want is to find a woman that will be happy to make a family with him and that will also love Sam. Read More...
