Short Review: The plot was interesting. The tiny twist thou, was annoying! (view spoiler) The Boy MC (i can not spell his name) was boring, i didn't like his POV and skimmed some of his parts, boringgggg. The Girl MC, i loved her, very badass, very strong! I don't really understand a good amount of the world building they did thou, like the things that killed at night? Was that them?! I was so confused there... It does have a very Divergent feel to it thou. Then the ending, how cliche. No.

Misc.

Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsey Cummings
Zenith - Sasha Alsberg,Lindsay Cummings Zenith - Sasha Alsberg,Lindsay Cummings

I had first heard about this book by one of my favorite booktubers, Sasha Alsberg.  When I discovered that she was co-writing a book I knew that I had to get it and that it was going to be amazing.  I was right.  This book was awesome.  I love the plot and how this world is being developed.  This is the start of this series and so far it is awesome.  I can't wait for the next installment in this series.

DNF @ 55%
The Murder Complex - Lindsay Cummings

*sigh* Nope, can't finish this one. I don't even feel guilty, because I honestly gave it a good run. It's not often that I keep trying, for over half a book, to feel like I'm invested. This one just didn't click with me.

When you don't like either character, and then there is insta-love, that's pretty much a sign to get out of dodge. I kept going though, until this mystery presented itself that felt like it should have been tension filled but instead felt really campy.

So no more of this book for me. Moving on.

Interesting :)
The Murder Complex - Lindsay Cummings

It was very slow at the beginning, but after around 80 pages it was already rushing.
Overall it was an interesting story and I would say that the book is quite easy to read... well, maybe if there were not so much description... I think author went a bit too far with "bright" disgusting images.
As I said - the story is interesting, but not very exciting. I want to check out a second book tho, cuz I think it wont take me a lot of time to read and as I heard - story gets much better in it.

One thing that sets me off - instalove. I am not a big fan of the scenario where "we know each other for 30 minutes, I would take a bullet for you" thing. It seemed too unreal and sugary-sweet for me. But it is just a matter of taste and it doesn't really effect the story.

I would recommend it - it is a good, solid dystopian ya book.
I will continue to read this story.

The Fear Trials
The Fear Trials - Lindsay Cummings

I'm really trying to finish my popsugar challenge and was having a hard time finding a book with an author that shares my initials, and then I found out about The Murder Complex by someone who doesn't only share my initials but also my first name!! However we were heading on vacation and I couldn't get my hands on The Murder Complex but I could get this and the reviews made it sound like you could read it before reading The Murder Complex.  After reading this I still think that's true but I don't think this was a great novella or a great representation of what this series is about.

The world really explained in this, other than it's kill or be killed. There is no explanation of why, when or how.  The interactions between characters was interesting because I was curious about the situation, but everything seemed a bit basic and I'm not sure if it's because it's short format or if that's the way the whole book is.

I don't think this sold me on the series but I may still pick it up, if anyone has read it let me know if it's worth my time.  I'm worried I'm getting sucked into a maze runner situation where I'm going to pick up the next book to find out what the heck is going on only to have nothing ever explained.
