I don't read much non fiction…I only decided to read this because of a reading challenge, it was also a short listen and the library had it on audio, so it was winner in that aspect…because it didn't suck.

Overall, there are some aspects to this story that could have been done differently to make the story more interesting, like some unfinished thoughts and glossed over parts of her life, that could have been explored more.  It's also told in a really somber voice that I never fully connected to, at least not until the very end, and seriously, something about the ending just clicked with me.  I believe it was the situation with her mother-in-law-from-hell that she had going on, I can relate, after all.  I even teared up, a little.

Will I read more from this author?  I don't know, most likely not.  I even own a book by her on my kindle…it was freebie.

The Kind Worth Killing is soooo twisty, just when you think you know where it's going, it veers off and totally does like a 180 on you.  It did this more than once, actually.  I really liked this, despite feeling that it may be a tad not-my-style, even though my style is constantly changing, especially lately.

Will I read more from this Author⇜  I really have no clue…this time last year I would have never even thought of reading this.

My Thoughts

This book drove me insane…like, not right away, but about 1/3 of the way in and I was just…ugh.  I felt like this was just made up drama, that would never play out like this in real life, just for the purpose of juicy story.  I don't believe anyone wants somebody that intensely and pushes them away with that same intensity.  And over a complete douchebag of a friend.  Seriously!

Bbbuuttttt……I have to give Karina Halle some credit, because she can write some sex scenes…like holy hotness, with just the right amount of sizzle and no lame-ass words for body parts here…so…I'm torn... (continued below)

Will I read more from this Author?⇜  …should I read more by her?  I mean, are her other books less over-the-top dramatic?  Please tell me?

Total:  4.5/5 STARS - GRADE=A-

My Thoughts

I think I would have liked this even more than I did, if I had read it…I don't know if it just the narrator that I didn't like, or something else.  I only took a little off for that, though, because The Magician is addictively entertaining.  A time traveling, magic wielding, good time.  The history, the splashes of romance and the intrigue make this a very worthwhile read.

Will I continue this series Yes, I totally will…I just wish it had a different narrator.

My Thoughts

Angelfall was one of the first books I purchased and read on my kindle…I took a chance on this back in December of 2011, knowing absolutely nothing about it, I think it was priced at 99Cents and I remember thinking while I was reading this…this is really good…a lot better than the last book I had gotten (whatever that one was).  To this day, it's still the best Angel book I've ever read.  I think that's because of it's unique storyline of an Angel Apocalypse.  Also, maybe a little to do with a hot brooding Angel (Raffe) and a kick-ass heroine (Penryn).

Will I continue this series⇜  I purchased all of the audiobooks for this for 1.99 a piece because I already own the eBooks, so yeah, I'm going to continue listening to them all.
