Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac  --I found this by searching the word everywhere…seriously though this video is crazy and Idk…it reminded me of the book, with the tricorns it looked liked some kind of tropical port for pirate ships to dock.  Kind of crazy, kind of confusing…kind of something♫

My Thoughts

The concept of time-travel in this story is genius, but to pull it off, you need to do more than just say "it happened."  I feel like it was never explained well enough for me to believe.  The characters were mostly unlikable and Nyxia, despite loving her name, was just a fickle girl who didn't know what she wanted from one minute to the next.  The only character I found remotely interesting is Kash.

As for the narration, I'm beginning to think I don't really care for Kim Mai Guest as a narrator, her voice is too bland sounding to hold my attention.  She's fine in an ensemble cast of characters (like One Of Us Is Lying), but on her own, not so much…as least for me.  I couldn't keep my mind in the story, and I almost DNF'd this more than once.

My Thoughts

An ingenious take on one of my all-time favorite movies, The Breakfast Club.  Reconstructed and varied with a twisty murder plot.  Each of the original players are represented from the princess all the way to basketcase…but they're changed up a quite a bit.

While listening to One of Us is Lying, I thought I had a fairly good idea of who actually killed Simon.  In part, my theories were right, but ultimately, I significantly missed the mark with this one, so props to the Author.

This is a bonus as an audiobook because each of the four main characters has a separate person narrating.  So, I wholeheartedly recommend Audio for this book.

My Thoughts

The feels are what make this story so good, from the crazy, funny one-liners to the all consuming chemistry between Garrett and Hannah, it's just fantastic.  Everything felt real and believable.  And, most of all…not cheesy.   Seriously, the New Adult genre is just feeling overdone and boring to me lately, unless an Author can pull off the right kind of feels.  Now, if I could only get them to quit referring to the word sex as a body part.  I'd be completely happy.

My tiny little deduction on the Ending is, because I thought the final conflict would play out differently than it did, and I guess I was a little disappointed.  Really no biggie, because the chemistry of the characters more than made up for it.

You've gone away

You don't feel me here anymore♫

My Thoughts

Maybe, there is just one to many retellings of Beauty and the Beast for me, and I'm feeling a little burned out on them.  I don't know…I just didn't feel this one as much as other readers did, or even as much as I did with other Beauty and the Beast retellings.  I was mostly bored while listening to this, it just couldn't hold my attention for long, although, towards the last 1/3 it did pick up.

Overall, when I really pondered how I felt about this, I realized this story is really deep in a lot of meaningful ways.  It was probably, for the most part anyway, just lost on me, because my head is elsewhere, lately.

My Thoughts

The Unknown Series has everything I want in a dystopian romance.  Amazing characters, a tenable premise, and sweet angst.  Supplemented with some kick-ass action scenes, and stellar writing, and it's damn near perfect.  My only issue with Unrest in particular, is I wanted to kick Amber and Rylan's ass; for taking so long to admit things to each other.  At least a little bit.
