Getting Silly To Help CJ Henderson
montage of CJ Henderson
Friend and fellow author CJ Henderson is battling lymphoma for the second time. We are asking everyone to sacrifice a small piece of their dignity both to raise awareness of our upcoming Kickstarter for an anthology to help with his medical costs and to cheer him up.
In homage to one of CJ's frequent sales pitches "I'll dance like a monkey for a nickel" we would like as many people as possible to record a 30-second clip of them or someone they know dancing like a monkey. This can be as simple or complex as you like, choreographed or on the fly.
In the description please put "I'll Dance Like a Monkey for a Nickel - in honor of CJ Henderson, who is battling Lymphoma, #CJHendersonKickstarter. Donate at http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/society-for-the-preservation-of-cj-henderson/87881" and we ask that you send us a link to the video Danielle Ackley-McPhail at greenfirephoenix @ aol . com or Gail Z. Martin @ gail @ chroniclesofthenecromancer . com.
You can use any means you have for the recording and posting of the video, but if you don't know how to start, I am told Vine is an easy to use app. Here are links to that:

Thank you

100 Questions & Answers About Lymphoma - Peter Holman I give this book 3 stars because it certainly isn't "amazing", but it is a 5 star reference book for anyone who has come into contact thru friends, family, or themselves with this disease. I recommend it for those people or those who want to know more about lymphoma. It explains the various treatments, potential side effects, probable recovery, and variations of this disease in good detail at a level a lay person can understand. It is actually a very useful book.

100 Questions & Answers About Lymphoma
100 Q&A about Lymphoma - Peter Holman This started out as too simplistic, so I gave up on it in favor of Living with Lymphoma. I didn't like the format of this book.

Living with Lymphoma: A Patient's Guide
Living with Lymphoma: A Patient's Guide - Elizabeth M. Adler The author was a scientist who got lymphoma. While there are some personal aspects to the book, it's mostly a fairly detailed scientific description. While I could follow a lot, some of it went over my head or I couldn't focus on. I think that was because I had so few facts about Mom's cancer to compare what I was reading to. I skimmed and skipped sections. Would be good to refer back to if I had more information though.
