This is book # 3 in the Breathing Hearts series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Frankie is just baking as usual when she feels tired and woozy.  Next thing she knows she is face to face with a blast from the past she did not want to see.  Rescuing her was nice, but coming back for more is just wrong.

Gage wants to move on from the past.  He comes back to his hometown with his daughter to start over.  Seeing Frankie puts him on alert.  Seeing her all the time gets his heart racing.  Can they get along long enough to work things out?

This story moved at such a quick pace.  The characters are strong with the heated backstory that sets the book on sizzle right from chapter one.  Sexy and smart, this was an enjoyable and relaxing read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

We catch up with our dear friends bear, moose, and beaver in this sweet book, as they are celebrating their favorite holiday, Christmas. As the friends get ready to celebrate, they learn a few important lessons about each other and about life.

I adore Nicholas’ books. There is something about the characters, the lessons that they teach, and the way the illustrations bring everything together that makes these books special to me. Using these three different animals, they each have their own special talents and characteristics which play an important role in the books. Each book teaches subtle lessons about life as the story unfolds. These books are gems.

In this story, as the friends get ready for Christmas, they realize that they are missing an important piece of their Christmas together. Quickly, the trio rushes out into the forest. After looking at other options, bear spots the perfect tree! This tree is exactly what they are looking for! Bear’s friends agree, and beaver gets ready to do his job. Wait! Bear doesn’t want to have beaver chew down the tree. Beaver can’t chew down this tree! Beaver and moose know the tree must come down so they can take it home but bear says, no. What are the three friends going to do about this beautiful tree if they can’t agree.

I enjoyed how the friends worked together and how bear solved the problem. I thought it was sweet how the friends all enjoyed bear’s solution. The illustrations are colorful, fun, and cute to look at. I also like the physical size of this book as I feel that they are a good fit for smaller hands and they’re perfect for lap sharing. A great children’s picture book.

This is the 2nd book in The Weaver's Circle series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand this incredible and sexy series, I recommend reading them in order.

Baer is a Weaver.  He believes the man he has stumbled upon in the middle of a crisis, is another brother.  So he shuts down his feelings that are starting to crop up.  He knows how important it is that The Weaver's Circle win this fight.

Wiley is actually an innocent bystander who makes comic novels.  He is an incredibly talented artist and is gaining so much from learning from Baer and the others.  Real life does not usually have Superheroes saving the world - but in this case he has found some that do this every day.

Wiley is an amazing character all on his own. When I read this story I was pleased and tickled that this terrific series had more than just straight up shapeshifters going on.  The writers are giving us a great series.  It is building to a crescendo that will hopefully wipe the bad monsters from our earth.  I cannot wait for the next installment in this amazing series.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
