Wonderful conclusion!
Crush - Nicole Williams

Loved this one.  Realistic struggles in this young couple trying to find their way.  I’m so glad that they found it...and found it together.  Such a great ending to the trilogy.  I was sad to see it end though.  I certainly went through a lot of ups and downs with these two, but if I had to be honest, I enjoyed all of it.  These two were just electric together so I'm glad they got their acts together.

Be prepared to be entertained!
Red - Kate SeRine

*4.5 STARS*

I really didn't know what to expect when I read this.  Based on a few recommendations from friends, I decided to give RED a try and I'm so glad I did.  It was different than anything I've ever read, and I had a fantastic time reading it from beginning to end!

Very neat premise with the fairytale characters coming to real world which they call “the here and now”.  Red is a actually little red riding hood all grown up and pretty kick ass.  And what ensues throughout the pages was intense, funny, thought-provoking and at all times completely engrossing.

Even though we knew who was causing the trouble and I knew who in cahoots with the villain, I loved the way it transpired.

I can’t wait to see where this series is going.  I don’t think I’ve been so thoroughly entertained in a long time.

I was disappointed by this one.
Captivated - Emily Jane Trent

*3 Stars*

Hmmmmm, how to rate this book?  On the one hand, I loved the premise of CAPTIVATED.  I loved the way the story started, but for me it went down hill from there.

I thought the story had so much potential, but I kept waiting for something, anything to happen.  So much of the plot happened inside Ella and Adam’s heads.  They were doing a lot of thinking but not much “doing” and that frustrated me to no end.

Then, when some stuff started actually happening by then end of the story, I was to over it to even care.  That’s not really true, but you get the point.

I’m truly upset by this because I wanted to like CAPTIVATED more.  I give the premise 4.5 stars and then I give the execution 1.5 stars.  So I gave it overall a 3 star rating.

Now the next question is do I go on with the series?  We finally got the plot moving by then end of this book, so I am thinking that I will give book two a try to see where it goes. I’m not willing to give up on Adam and Ella just yet.

They just can't get it together can they, GAH!
Clash - Nicole Williams

*3.5 STARS*

My iPhone was in real danger of being thrown across the room on this one.  These two are just so frustrating.  Man, these two just can’t stop fighting can they?  I’d love for them to be able to stay together longer than five minutes before they break up again.  LOL

But honestly, I just love them together.  I simply can't say that I want them to be apart.  I really do just love them when they are good together.  I was getting a little worried towards the end.  I agree that sometimes love isn’t enough but someone who’s willing to stick with you through thick and thin is like gold.  It just killed me that Lucy couldn't see how hard Jude was trying to make things work with her.  It was like she was just so freakin' blind and only saw what she wanted to see.

I’m glad they made it work in the end.  Now, I can’t wait to move on to book 3!

I think I'm going to love this series...
Hope Flames - Jaci Burton

HOPE FLAMES was a great start to the newest series by Jaci Burton.  It had all the elements I like: romance, great chemistry, good plot, and characters that I'm looking forward to getting to know.

Dr. Emma Burnett has realized her dream opening up her own veterinarian clinic, and she feels like her life is finally getting back on track.  Having a disastrous relationship several years ago derailed her goals, but she's now in charge of her life and she's not going to let someone take over again.  So, when sexy police officer Luke McCormack comes into her life, she's decides she's not going to let her attraction to him lead to anything.

And Officer Luke McCormack really couldn't be happier about that.  He did the whole relationship thing one and it crashed and burned.  Now, he's more of the one-night stand kind of guy, and he likes it that way.  But for some reason, he can't get Emma out his mind and can't seem to leave her alone.

So, when the attraction between Luke and Emma leads into touching, they decide to keep things light.  But sometimes, life and circumstances have a way to changing your plans.

I thought that this was a really cute read.  Emma and Luke were a couple of stubborn cusses but I'm glad that things worked out for them in the end.  I'm not sure how Emma was able to stand her ground for so long.  I mean, Luke was hot, honest, honorable, and he loved his dog.  How much better could a guy be?

I really liked the town of hope.  It reminded me a bit of another favorite town of mine, Lucky Harbor.  And, there are some great secondary characters that I'm looking forward to getting their HEAs.

Overall, this was  a great read.  I was frustrated with the couple in question more than a few times, but I was glad to see that they worked it all out. I can't wait to see where the series leads.  Luke's brother, Logan the rancher, gets his story next, and that should be quite interesting.
