Favorites | November 2014

Hi all :) Hope you had a great November!! It went SO FAST! I can't believe it's already December near the end of the year! Crazy!! Still not ready for winter and Christmas! EEK! I wanted to share some faves from the month of November! It was at times a stressful time for me but I have many great highlights of the month :)

_____

Books

It's safe to say I'm addicted to Colleen Hoover!! I've been reading her books since August and just can't get ENOUGH! So good!! If you haven't checked out her books yet, you need to! She always just seems like a really great person too and that's an author I will continue to support :) Slammed was amazing and I really liked Point of Retreat (the sequel) too! I love this couple :)

_____

Music

I've been obsessed with "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift and "Take Me to Church" by Hozier this month!! And also I still don't have Taylor Swifts new cd (at this point something IS wrong with me) but I've been hearing her new songs a lot of Ed Sheeran's Pandora radio station and I'm in LOVE. Can't wait to own it!! And "Take Me to Church" is the first Non-Jesus, Jesus song I have ever loved! It's so good and moving! I just love it!

______

Movies

My boyfriend and I went to see 3 movies this month and that's a lot for us!! We like to go see movies, but don't get to as often as we'd like! We saw Gone Girl, Interstellar, and Mockingjay Part 1 and we liked them, but liked Mockingjay the best out of the 3! However, my favorite movie is the one I saw at home on Netflix, While You Were Sleeping! I can't believe it was the first time I've seen it!!! I could have sworn I have especially since I love all of Sandra Bullock's older movies but I LOVED it! It was super cute, and great for Christmas actually!! I'm a sucker for a good chick-flick!! I'm sad I still haven't seen the Best of Me :( It never came in theaters near me so I think I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD! It's probably better to watch in the comfort of my own home so I can cry a bucket of tears!

________

TV Shows

I haven't been able to watch any of Nashville this month which makes me sad (because I've had to work) so I don't know when I'll be able to catch up! We finished season 4 of the Walking Dead on Netflix and will have to wait a year for the next season! the 4th season was okay, not my favorite season - some crazy things happened but there were a lot of boring episodes too! And we have been watching more of New Girl on Netflix but haven't watched too much TV in November! But I love New Girl - can't get enough of Nick and Jess!!

____

Food

Thanksgiving is the best - best meal of the year!! I love all of it - the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie... but my favorite dish is the one I make - Candied Yams :) MMMmmm... I went to Thanksgiving with my boyfriend's family and we had a good time! Also had Thanksgiving with my siblings and that was also a good time! :) Also I love Bigelow Acai and Blueberry Green tea - cold with no sugar! It's so good, and I'm a sugarholic! I highly recommend it!

______

Beauty

I didn't use that many new products so this category is slacking but I love Covergirl's clump crusher mascara and I got a new tube this month so been loving that alone! Also Batiste dry shampoo! I like the smell of this one - very refreshing! And that's about it for this category... BOOKS over looks am I right!? :D

*****************

I can't think of any other favorites of the month! The month pretty much flew right on by!!

September Favorites

Hello :) I wanted to try something a little different :) I wanted to post my favorites of the month which includes books, music, tv, beauty, food etc. Just a way to reflect back on the month :)

Books

Colleen Hoover has definitely become one of my favorite authors and I loved both of these books and want to devour all of her books!! (My September Wrap Up)

Reviews:

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

***************************

Music

Along with Maybe Someday & Ugly Love comes Griffin Peterson. He and Colleen Hoover collaborated on a soundtrack for Maybe Someday and it's amazing! Check out the songs  ♪ I love Griffin Peterson's voice, style, and lyrics! It's beautiful. He also wrote and performed a song for Ugly Love. I will definitely listen to more of his work!

Other Songs I've had on Repeat:

"Photograph" & "Don't" by Ed Sheeran

"Boom Clap" by Charli XCX

"Rude" by Magic!

"Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift

"Cool kids" by Echosmith

*****************************

TV

America's Got Talent

My boyfriend and I were watching this together and both wanted Mat Franco (the magician) to win and so glad he did :) YAY.

The Following

We tried a new show on Netflix and really like it! It's dark and I love all the twists and turns! It can be a bit overdone sometimes but we really like it :) We only watched Season 1 so we have to wait until Season 2 comes on Netflix to binge watch it :)

How I Met Your Mother

So happy that season 9 is finally on Netflix and we are watching that now :) I already know what happens in the finale because when it came out and everyone was going crazy about it - I had to know! (My boyfriend doesn't know though) Looking forward to seeing how it plays out!

Nashville

Yay so glad one of my favorite shows is back for season 3 :) :) I loved the first episode but sadly had to miss the second :/ Need to get a recap before Wednesday!

Food

In the fall, I am definitely one to love all things pumpkin! - ice cream, bread, roll, muffins, bagels, creamer - you name it I love it!! :D

I haven't had any crazy delicious food besides things pumpkin related and also I had another amazing fall food - apple cider donuts!! SO GOOD. Especially if it's covered in cinnamon :) YUM.

Beauty

Covergirl LashBlast Mascara

My favorite combo is Lashblast length (yellow) as a base coat, then Volume (orange) to build my lashes up! And if I ever have to fix my lashes, I love the clump crusher (green) I love mascara :)

Clinique Face Moisturizer

- I got a sample of this from my boyfriends Grandmom and I really like it! Helps with the dry patches and soaks right in to my face! :) But it's too expensive for me to repurchase!

Aussie conditioner

It works pretty well in my hair and smell good :) Especially if you like the coconut smell like I do!

 Events

I didn't do a whole lot in September as far as fun things but we went to a Hockey game (which to me is boring) but my boyfriend's dad works as a manager of the off-ice refs so he gets us tickets. The main reason I went is because they opened up a Tim Horton's (which is a coffee and some food shop based in Canada) and I was super excited about that :)

We also went to a fall festival where we mainly walked around - but anything fall related is always fun to go to!

Yup, that's about it in the events department - not a very fun filled month :/

************

Well those are my September Favorites! :) I may add more categories (if I can think of any) and if I decide to continue with monthly favorites :) I am really looking forward to October as it's my favorite month and I really hope to do a lot of haunted things! :D And some good movies are coming out that I'm looking forward to!

What are some of your September favorites?
