With one of his usual aphorisms, Eduardo Lourenço is able to sum-up not only his long coexistence with Music, but also his attitude of being a permanent listener. But listening to what?

Eduardo Lourenço is one of the few original thinkers able to hear the other, be it the President, or a taxi driver. His unquenchable thirst to devour everything on his path, made the act of listening to music a recurrent activity, maybe even more important than speech itself.

Unable to write about Lourenço’s writing, I humbly stand aside to make room for his own voice (my own loose translations from Portuguese into English).

Tan única como lo es esta historia, y al igual que ella este libro va a su propio ritmo, recordándonos la importancia de hacer las cosas correctamente así como el lugar al que pertenece todo. De modo que, si eres impaciente probablemente no llegues más allá de la página 20, y si son así les daré un consejo que les ahorrará algo de tiempo: busquen otro libro.

Pero si le tienen cariño a la siempre dulce Auri, entonces, probablemente les encantará esta historia. Aunque no esta de más advertir que si lo que buscas es saber algo más de Kvothe, entonces lo mejor será que sigas esperando pacientemente a que este listo el tercer libro, porque aquí sólo descubrirás y aprenderás más de la Subrealidad.

Lucio è un giovane violinista spagnolo che approda a Venezia per partecipare alle giornate musicali in onore di Antonio Vivaldi, di cui è ammiratore devoto. Nel condurre alcune ricerche nell'archivio del vecchio Ospedale della Pietà, Lucio si imbatte in una partitura che sembra del famoso Prete Rosso. Si tratta di un'opera inusuale, a tratti sgradevole e incomprensibile, saggio forse di quella "musica del diavolo" proibita severamente dalla chiesa del tempo. Da ulteriori ricerche Lucio viene a sapere dell'esistenza di una setta detta "Fraternitas Charitatis" che aveva lo scopo di custodire e tramandare conoscenze eterodosse o eretiche. Ben presto Lucio, con l'aiuto della fidanzata, scopre l'affiliazione di Vivaldi alla confraternita ed è indotto a pensare che la partitura nasconda un messaggio tanto importante quanto pericoloso che i due intendono scoprire. Ma non sono i soli...

L'enigma di Vivaldi è stato il primo romanzo giallo che mi è capitato di leggere: ben 7 anni fa. Il tempo vola!
Una storia leggera che a dispetto della prima volta in cui lo lessi l'ho trovato meno incalzante ed avvincente. Ritrovandomi così a saltare di tanto in tanto gli intermezzi amorosi di Lucio e Maria, che poco servono al proseguire della storia.
Un racconto ove il passato ed il presente sembrano così lontani ed incredibilmente vicini.

Un modo simpatico per scoprire Venezia ed i suoi punti "clou".
