Monday With a Mad Genius- Booklikes-opoly
Monday with a Mad Genius - Mary Pope Osborne,Sal Murdocca

This is a book I read with my son. It also happens to fit well for my Booklikes-oply book. We started it two nights ago  and finished it tonight.

In this Jack and Annie are on a Merlin Mission. They are on a quest to "find happiness." This time they travel back and end up meeting Leonardo da Vinci. I live how Pope spins a great tale for kids while a accurately depicting the time period and history of thd content involving the subject matter.

My kid really likes this series, we have a large collection of these, just missing the few most recent books. I love that he likes these, I do to and don't get too bored while reading. I am so glad he has surpassed the "see spot run" level.

Just under 150 pages

$20 + $2= $22

Middle of the Road
Merry Gentlemen - Josephine Myles

Merry Gentlemen took a little while for me to get into it but once I did I was hooked. I connected to more to Riley than his love interest Stan. I loved the strong sense if place but then Josephine Myles is excellent at that. I found this relationship depended almost completely on one character growing up. I didn't get a Christmas vibe but whatever.

Einstein's Peep Show - Josephine Myles

This was basically gay Sheldon Cooper - with sex. And it was funny, sweet and awkward all at once. Loved it.

"So, he's waiting for us to start. Are you ready for me to invite him in?"
"I was born ready."
"Actually, you were born with very little physical coordination and driven purely by the need for milk and sleep."

Audio Book Review: Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter By Jessica Sims
Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter - Jill Myles,Jessica Sims

This novel is my favorite in this series. I don't understand how it went unreviewed for the last 3 years. I've reviewed most books and novellas in this series and yet my favorite one got left out for some reason.

I liked Sarah very much because of how strong she is even after the universe conspired against her for so long. It was also cute to find out at the end how Ramsey had always admired her from afar, even before they got 'stuck' together.

I adore Ramsey. He's one of my top 10 book boyfriends. Apparently I have a thing for big, buff, blondes who turn into a bear when it seems convenient. Other then that small revelation, I enjoyed how protective he was of Sarah and how understanding he was of the circumstances.

The ending was sheer luck, but it had me cringing so hard and I loved every second of it. Considering I listened to the audio book, I couldn't speed read through the end to find out what happened faster so I found myself respecting and liking Connor a little more. It got me curious as to what will happen between him and Savannah.

Custom Fit (Josephine Myles)
Custom Fit - Josephine Myles
3.5 stars

While these boys might have to learn about the power of communication, and despite the opposite way of looking at life -- Andrew is more uptight and so cautious about money while Felix is more willing to take chances -- but I thought they really truly fit with each other. When they do talk things out, they are adorable.

I liked that the problem written here was very, uhm, realistic, in terms of struggling with money and getting a job to make ends meet after one finishes college. About trying to reach your dream, do what you are most passionate about, but at the same time finding that you must sacrifice parts of it to get money.

So yeah, I really liked this, slightly better than the first story even (based on my rating, since I don't exactly re-read Tailor Made before starting this one, so I can't really remember the details)
