Release Date: Oct 29th 2021

Drew and Cleevs love hockey, but they love each other more. How can the men find a way to save what matters most?

Todd Cleever and Drew Simon are crazy about each other. They started dating three years ago when “Cleevs” was a rookie defenseman for the Chicago Ice. Drew, the team’s captain, was a few years older than Cleevs. Both men were deep in the closet, but it didn’t take long for them to fall in love.

Cleevs was traded to the Bethesda Barracudas a year later, causing a heartbreaking separation. Ever since, they’ve skated around the problem with occasional stolen nights together and brief vacations under the guise of “friends,” but two years of living apart have taken their toll.

As the holiday approaches, Drew and Cleevs decide things have to change. Still, with their careers and two professional hockey teams in the way, how can they score the game-winning goal and save everything they cherish most?

If you like fierce love, a smallish age gap, exciting hockey, and a steely determination to make things work—not to mention enough steam to fog up all your windows and a fantastic HEA—this is the book for you. The novella contains about 43,000 words of sparkling holiday romance.

About the Authors:

Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood met in law school and were married in 2017. They live in a suburb of Washington, DC and share their home with a big, cuddly German shepherd. Ryan and Josh enjoy travel, friends, and advocating for causes dear to their hearts. Ryan also loves to swim, and Josh likes to putter in the garden whenever he can. The romance they were so lucky to find with each other inspires their stories about love between out and proud men.

If You Were Me and Lived in...Ancient Ch... If You Were Me and Lived in...Ancient China: The Han Dynasty - Carole P. Roman

Very interesting book about the Han Dynasty in Ancient China. I learned so much. This touches on living arrangements, names, careers, food, leisure activities, ancestors, religion, school, and famous people.

It is simple for children to understand what life was like for the poor and the nobles. It explained the religions found in Ancient China. I liked how each subject was looked at and explained with softly colored illustrations showing what was explained. There was a lot of information which I found interesting and educational. This reminded me of books I read as a child from a series called "Let's Find Out About..."

Well written and informative. It is worth reading.

Colby the Camel: The Tussle in the Castl... Colby the Camel: The Tussle in the Castle of No-Bustle - Junia Wonders,Divin Meir

Once the situation is explained to Colby, he journeys to the Castle and gathers compatriots along the way. They fight the pirates but who will win? Will Colby save the day?

This was so cute! It was a fun story. The rhyming was fun to listen to. The illustrations are bright and colorful. I could not wait to find out what happened. There's action and adventure galore here. Perfect for your 2-6 year old.

There's A Baby in my mommy's belly - Gra... There's A Baby in my mommy's belly - Grammy's Gang

Hammie does not believe his mom is pregnant. He sees her body undergoing changes but he still does not believe until he feels the baby move and then other things happen before the baby comes.

This was done so well. I liked the rhyming of the story and its effect on Hammie. His fears come out. He is there when they have to go to the hospital. His meeting the baby is nice. The illustrations are good especially some of Hammie's dreams and thoughts about mom's changing body.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds whose moms are expecting.

DIRTY FACE LIAM by Flo Barnett
Dirty Face Liam (Grammy's Gang, #2) - Flo Barnett,Derek Bacon

Liam likes his dirty face. He won't give it up. Now Mom wants to know if he wants chocolate frosting. He feels it's a trick to clean his face. Is it?

I enjoyed this. There is some rhyming along with prose. It was fun to see Liam getting dirty. I remember those times. I like his thought process on the chocolate frosting. Exactly like a kid--what's more important--chocolate frosting or dirt? This is good for 4-8 year olds. Lots of fun!
