We just finished binge watching this on Netflix and it was great. Super gross but great. Don't attempt eating anything during episode one. I am not being dramatic. Drew Barrymore and the guy who plays her husband are adorable together. It's a must-watch if you like your comedy dark and a little gory.

The angry scarf is coming along quite nicely. I may have to gift it to someone who is entirely too happy ;)

The pattern can be found @ Ravelry.

It should look like this when I'm done but a little less bulky this time around.

Bud's celebrated his 11th birthday!  He's also doing well on the phenobarb and hasn't had a seizure in nearly four weeks (knocks on wood) but he is soooo hungry all the time. I would've posted an update earlier but I haven't had the energy to fight with BL and lately it's always a fight. Work has also been screaming busy. Family drama. Blah, blah, blah.

Anyway, hope all of my BL friends are doing well. I am still around here but before I can like or comment BL craps out on me and I have to leave in frustration :(

I am posting more on my other blog (which I created reluctantly but am starting to enjoy) so if you want to visit please do.  Also, if anyone has another blog please tell me in the comments so I can add you to my daily stops. I miss the interaction here and wish they'd get it together before most everybody leaves.

Also, is anyone else finding that they can only see 5 or so posts before the "more posts" button shows up and then slowly loads  2 more?  It'll take me a month to get current at this rate.

This is my never excitable Mr. Kirbs. I don't think I've introduced him to you all before now because he's always sleeping when the camera comes out. He's my oldest cat at 11. He's the one I slyly picked up from the Humane Society without my husband's knowledge and then I left him in the bathroom while I had to run into work. Much to my dismay, my husband returned home to lunch (he never did that) and rang me up asking me how a kitten ended up in our bathroom. I dunno, I said, but since he's already there we have to keep him.

Kirby turned out to not care about me so much and he LOVES my previously cat hating husband.  Figures.  This is the story of my life.

I'm about to bring the room down so please feel free to skip by this one.

My sweet Buddy has a brain tumor. He's been having seizures for the first time in his almost eleven years. The first happened about 8 weeks ago, the second last Monday and the third this Monday. Seizures are a scary thing. They make him blind and wobbly for a good 30 - 45 minutes and this last one kept him off his feet for almost an hour. He's had a long life of leisure and we have been truly fortunate to have had him with us for this long. He was originally my sister's dog but he landed with me when he was only 9 months old when she divorced her husband. He's always been the sweetest, goofiest dog, scared of his own shadow and will give his favorite bed up to any cat who wants it. I've always said he's a poor example of a golden retriever. He can't catch to save his life. He is one of those dogs you can toss a piece of chicken at and he'll manage to move his head the wrong direction so it beans him in the eye/ear/nose. Every time. He also never learned to swim. When he was younger, he'd walk across the shallow end of the pool on his two hind legs and do the doggy paddle with his two front paws and think he was swimming. But he's also the best example of the breed, he's sweet, loyal and is always there to comfort you when you're sad. Goldens his size typically don't make it past nine years, I'm told. I had a smaller retriever who lived until 16 so I was hoping . . . but it isn't meant to be. He probably only has a few months left so for now he's getting all of the treats he wants and I'll take him on the trails for short walks as long as he is able. Give your pets a hug and an extra treat. Their lives are so damn short.
