Spies, danger, love and passion, kept me reading
An Earl in Wolf's Clothing - M. Emily E. Windsor-Cragg

This was a fun read. I loved the interactions between Sophie and Bram. With all the subterfuge to keep Bram's secret, Sophie's ability to make the best of a situation was great. There were laughs as Sophie and her friend do their own sneaking around. Bram was a determined and gallant young man, and I fell in love with him. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next.

I received a copy of this book through Book Obsessed Chicks Review team, and this is my unsolicited review.

Enjoyable characters, a page turner for me
An Unsuitable Duchess - Laurie Benson

Mixing an American and a Duke led to some interesting places. Katrina was intriguing with her very proper behavior when required and her more colonial tendencies as time. I found her fun to read. Julian's desire to do what was expected of him made him a bit aloof at times, but when he realized life had more to offer than duty, I enjoyed him more. I loved this story and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I received this book free through Harlequin, and this is my unsolicited review.

Quick read with a touching love
Bride of the Beast - Adrienne Basso

This was a quick interesting read. Bethan and Haydn meet under difficult circumstances, but Bethan's bravery and Haydn's trust left an impression on the other. Bethan's continued strength and willingness to overlook Haydn's secret made her enjoyable to read. Haydn was full of anger and only had revenge on his mind, but he still had me rooting for him when his secret came out. I recommend this story, and I look to read more by this author.

This is my unsolicited review and a Book Obsessed Chicks Star Review selection.

Another emotional ride for me.
The Bride Who Got Lucky (The Cavensham Heiresses) - Janna MacGregor

This story had me laughing, crying, and turning the pages. Emma shows her strength by standing up for what she believes in and working toward a very unladylike goal although she is driven by guilt. Nick's past has him believing that he is unlovable. My emotions were wrapped up in these two as they learned what it would take to be happy forever, learning to compromise and forgive themselves and others. There are a lot of dark places in this story, but I loved the whole package. I look forward to the next Cavensham Heiress story.

Great story, great series, sorry it is over
Return to the House of Sin (Bastards of London, Book 4) - Anabelle Bryant

Final book in the series and I am sad to see it go. Crispin was driven by his mistakes and trying to prove he was a rake. I loved his humanity, single-mindedness, and drive. When his true inner self showed through, I fell in love. Amanda was just as driven for different reasons, yet was still innocent in her actions, plans, and dreams. She had a clarity of vision that kept her honest, and her heart was big enough to forgive when needed. I enjoyed reading about this couple's journey to their HEA. I highly recommend this story as well as the entire series.
