Skylar assumed her boyfriend had lost his mind when he comes to her with some crazy and hateful theories about her friends being monsters, so she walked away. When two werewolves shifted in a downtown coffee shop, Jay couldn’t stand by and let them attack the humans inside. Now a werewolf herself, Skylar has to accept her new reality because it turns out that her ex-boyfriend was wrong, her friends weren’t exactly human, but a so-called monster saved her life. But the more Skylar learns, the more danger she’s in.

This paranormal romance is another supremely fascinating and endlessly thrilling Branches of Emrys novel. Skylar and Jay are strong, bold characters that demand readers’ attention and while their romance is sweet, it is full of vibrant, scorching passion. Skylar has her whole world turned upside down and finds out about true mates all at once, so the relationship is a bit complicated, energetic and emotional and readers have to know everything that is happening to them.

The plot is fast paced and one thrilling, suspenseful event after another so have to keep their eyes glued to the pages. The enemy has quite a few tricks up his sleeve and lots of unexpected twists keeps readers on the edge as well as surprising the characters. Readers never know what to expect when they open one this author’s books but one thing they know for certain is that it will be a page turning, passionate experience that is well worth reading and this one is no exception.

No matter how far you run, the past always catches up.

Mark Wellings started life as a witch, but he’d locked the memories away when he became a werewolf and gave up his magic. Now nightmares remind him of the hell he escaped.

Gina Somerset cannot remember the tragic circumstances that led to her becoming a werewolf. Mark eased a deep fear from the first time they made eye contact. Now she wants to help him face his own dark past.

Something evil lingers and Mark senses the danger. Everything changes in one fateful moment when Gina is captured by vampires.

One of the witches abducted recognize Mark and tells the remaining members of his old coven. What brings Mark and Gina closer together may tear them apart as Mark’s past catches up.

The Others of Edenton series just keep getting more intriguing and fascinating with each new couple. Mark and Gina are strong, captivating characters that easily connect to readers and completely wins their hearts. The romance is sweet and full of sizzling chemistry and smoking hot passion with an instant relationship that is believable in the circumstances surrounding these characters. Be prepared for your heart to be given to the strength and sweetness of the romance part of this story.

But of course, the bad has to be there somewhere and in this fast plot full of exciting danger, thrilling suspense, loyalty and courage, the danger comes from some evil enemies that will stop at nothing to complete their interrupted plans for Mark. Furthermore, Mark’s past brings a twist that could tear Mark and Gina’s relationship apart. The author has created a world where every story introduces not only new characters but new elements and new paranormal / supernatural types that are fascinating which makes every story different and exciting. This fascinating world is one where readers love all the characters and always return for more of their stories, their passion and their adventures and their triumphs as they battle wonderful enemies that readers can really enjoy wanting to destroy themselves.
